Hi,
Me and my husband have been vaping just a couple of hours. Yes we still want a cigarette but the craving isn't that bad yet. My concern is that we are both vaping a lot more than we s
moked. I don't want to make our nicotine addiction worse! Is this normal? Plus this new experience with vaping make us feel like crackheads which is just comical!

Don't worry about it.

People typically have an easier time lowering their nic with vaping than lowering their smoking. Nicotine is just one of the addictive chemicals in cigs. There are others, like MAOI's, that work together with nicotine to make it a tandem addiction.

And whatever cravings you're feeling now are probably partly to due with that.

Nicotine by itself is still addictive, but not as much, it seems, as nicotine combined with MAOI's.

And the nice thing about vaping is that you can taper down as slowly as you want. You can do it by increments of 2mg if you like!

Your vaping will probably even out in the coming weeks. And you may even find yourself randomly forgetting to vape for a while. I do that from time to time, for a few hours sometimes.

Or, you may not, and you may keep vaping heavily. But you're still doing your body a favor. And tapering down is still more customizable than with smoking.

Just focus on dropping cigs for now.

It's awful early for concern. Relax...

At this early stage, vape to your inner beast's content. Don't be shy or guilty about it. With every draw you take, just think about all the tar, carbon monoxide and the whole 4000+ chemicals you're not subjecting yourself to.

Don't expect the yen for a cigarette to go away anytime soon, though--if ever. Every once in a blue moon, I have one just to remind myself that I'm not missing anything; my mind understands that--my body doesn't.

I think most of us vape more than we smoked for a while. What mg are you using?I started at 24mg,used 36mg for a while in the morning with my coffee. Now I use 12mg-24mg.24 very seldom, just when I have the urge to smoke.Hardly ever anymore really. It takes time at first dont feel bad if its stuck to your face, its normal.

Vaping is FUN! You'll be fine! As mentioned above, you're not taking in nearly as many carcinogens and other nasty stuff, so just go for it! I am onweek 2+ of no analogs, and now that some of the newness has worn off, I have cut back a little. Mainly now, I'm just trying all the flavors! I was a pack a day smoker, and I went straight to 12mg and have stuck with that pretty much. I have done a few higher level samples that were sent as bonuses when I placed orders, but mostly 12mg otherwise.

Welcome to the forum!

It you are using cartridges and atomizers:
Use tweezers and pull the filler out from the cartridge. Get some hot, hot water and swish the filler around in it for a few minutes. Take it out and dab it with a papertowel a few times. Move to a dry spot and do it again till dry. Swish your cartridge around in there also. Roll the paper towel up on one end and stick it in the cart to dry it. Repack the cartridge with filler and you are ready to go.
You can drip about 8-10 drops of liquid in the cart before restuffing. Go in slowly so the filler absorbs the e-liquid and drip a few more drops on top of the filler. Just until it looks like a slushy on top and not pooling.
Hope this helps.

As for vaping too much-If you start feeling a bit dizzy or lightheaded. A tinge of a headache. Stop for a bit.

actually the important thing for you to understand is analogs when inhaled that nicotine rush goes right to the brain if i remember right...so its all nicotine...an e cig being inhaled makes you take in nicotine in a VERY differnt way like being time released...think of the patch...that would also explain why youve been vaping and vaping and its not kicked in......it takes a bit to get absorbed like a pill or the patch...just give it a little time and your nicotine levels will NEVER be as high as smoking no matter what blood tests have even confirmed it..ciotine??? levels generally are the same but not nicotine say your blood work on a normal smoker shows 200...yours would show 20...so your fine you need to lay off the vape when your getting really dizzy or lightheaded thats telling you whoaaa ok too much relax...many MANY ppl vape all day long your fine just try to ease off the nicotine in small amounts as time goes on

Gosh! What a great forum. Everyone is so quick to reply and so helpful. None of that "did you check the new members sticky?" crap.

Vaping watermelon 24mg today. I have a Riva eGo. I bought 150ml of flavors in 24 and 18mg to get me started. I noticed that most all of them have a sweet powdery taste to them that overpowers the actual flavoring of the liquid. Wonder if that's the filler that I'm tasting??? Maybe I'm not putting enough juice in the cartridge. Or maybe it's the mix of PG/VG I got. I got the
80PV/20VG. I got the liquid from Myfreedomsmokes. They have the option to order double flavoring which I didn't do because I was afraid too much flavoring would make me nauseous but I think I'll order the double next time.

I guess I am very lucky because my transition was too easy. It was so easy I can't even feel proud since there was no real effort on my part (except reading a lot of posts on this forum to make my initial choices). I actually love vaping more than smoking. I was a pack a day smoker (More Red 120s), probably would have smoked 2 packs of any other brand that burned up in the ashtray. I started with 24 mg which I was also concerned was a lot of nicotine, but it takes me 2 days to go through a WOW Cartomizer from V4L. I take small frequent vapes because of my asthma so I am guessing this is why they last so long although I vape all day and night. I haven't liked any of the tobacco flavors, but love cinnamon and butterscotch. I feel like I just found a better tasting cigarette which is strange because I would drive from store to store trying to find the Mores I smoked for 25 years straight without substitution.

Hello everyone, I'm a newbie to vaping. I bought a disposable CIGALECTRIC and really liked it, but the battery wore out before Icould even finish the replacement filters. I now want to buy a starter kit, but I'm not sure which one to buy, there are too many to choose from. Any suggestions would be appreciated...TIA.

From what I have learned the Cigalectric is a KR808D-1. An upgraded model will have longer battery life. I like the XL batteries, but I am a previous 120 smoker so I like the extra length (and the extra life). Vapor King is a KR808D-1 from Vapor for Life (smilin code is 10% off). I actually bought mine from V2cigs (thanko'leary code is 15% off starter kits), but check on stock before ordering. They have a very quick online customer service button. I ordered the ultimate kit. I also ordered the WOW cartomizers from Vapor 4 Life and really like them in the flavors, but don't like any tobacco flavors I've tried in any brands. Don't miss that tobacco taste at all. I read on another thread that Vapor 4 life's red and white is a dead ringer for Cigalectrics Regular. Good luck

I don't know if this helps, but buying a fruity/sweet tasting flavor for my first e-juice was a great decision because I vaped ALL DAY my first day (24mg nicotine), and boy did it make me SICK. I can't even use my strawberry, I gave it to my friend. I use my 0mg nicotine Strawberry to mix but that's about it. I think the sweetness and the nicotine over-vaping made me sick so now I don't vape as much :p
