You think you NY guys are snarky? Wait until you cross swords with an English boy. I have irony and long words and all sorts at my disposal.

Huh. Sorta strange because the Brits I know in NY are too scared of NYers to leave their apartments other than for work. And even then they beg to from home at least a few days a week. :D

This is posting twice so, nice guitar, Dave!

Thanks, Nancy!

Her name is Brandi. I made her for inventory about 4 years ago, then fell seriously in love, so I had to delist her. Outstanding player and a real tonemistress.

They're probably worried someone will make them drink American beer.

Or eat American chocolate - I used to export Cadbury Dairy Milk to my ex in Tennessee. That said, the Brownie mix she used to send back in return was top notch

My local supermarket has a small English section now, with McVities Digestive Biscuits and Coleman's Mustard and other treats. I'll never get tired of watching Americans try Coleman's Mustard for the first time.

There were some exchange students at my uni back in the day (my aforementioned ex was one of them). So we used to introduce them to all the local delicacies and I can say with confidence a transatlantic Marmite taste test session is one of the funniest things I've seen. ("No wonder there was a ****ing revolution!" was an admittedly great comeback quote). One guy quite liked it but then saw what it looked like in the jar and did a bit of a double take.

On that note - marmite e-liquid... Any takers on that...?

Food aside one of the things they found weird living in Europe compared to back home was having a separate hot and cold tap instead of mixer taps in the bathrooms... It's often the little details you find strange in a different country though isn't it

The first time I tried Marmite was at my then Brit BF's parents house. I was reaching up to grab Nutella and didn't notice it was Marmite. So being me, I stuck a spoon in on the sly and had a shock. It almost put me off Nutella forever.
I got used to Marmite on buttered toast though. :)
Marmite liquid, someone should make it in the UK.
Have you tried Irn Bru liquid?

Are seperate taps SOP in Europe? I've seen them but it seemed nostalgic. (I'm a sucker for vintage stuff! lol)

That's funny! :) Coleman's is good though. We used to have a local shop that sold food from the UK. So we had Twiglets, Cadbury Flake (yum), Colmans, and yes choccie digestives.

Does she have competition, Dave? ;)
Beautiful, though. The wood grain looks gorgeous!

Did you ever hear the story of Cadburys Flake?

They had big machines that produced chocolate in a solid continuous bar that was chopped up to used in whatever. When they first turned a machine on after servicing it came out looking like Flake for the first 20 feet or whatever. It was useless for normal processing and it was supposed to be tossed, but the people who worked on the line used to eat it and take it home for their kids. One day an executive saw this and tried it, and it became one of their most popular products.

That's cool, but the executives probably blew it for the workers. After that, they wouldn't be able to scarf it off the floor. I know, I think of weird stuff. ;)

My only complaint with Flake is that it came in a small size. But Cadbury, in general, makes great chocolate.

What tea do you drink over here? This is like a food discussion now. Lol
Did you ever see those Tetley teabags that are meant to be dripless? I saw them on eBay, made for caterers supposedly.

Given how this thread started out, a food discussion far more useful and informative.

I like PG Tips, my wife is a patriotic Yorkshire Tea lover though. Personally I'm a filter coffee man though and only have tea every now and then.

Seperate hot and cold taps seems to be less common except in older places these days so I guess we've modernised

BTW I would go for Irn Bru eliquid, although vaping it all day would probably be a bit too sweet for my tastes!

Hey, Pete. It would have to be the new un-improved IrnBru, that's less sweet. Made from girders is a great shtick, though. :)

I was going to get Tips, but I couldn't find a seller over here.
I got Tetley British Blend instead (made for Americans probably. lol) It's good, but so far I'm leaning to good ole Twinings English Breakfast. Good black tea, imo.

I love coffee too! I switch off between them. But I'm sure where you are, tea and coffee are equally popular like here. I have no favorite coffee, though, at the moment. Any suggestions? ;)
Have a good one!

What if I don't have a Ouija board? Maybe they sell them on Amazon.

I was just now testing something out. I'm running out of salt nic, so I decided to revisit freebase. I haven't used freebase at all since I went up from 15mg to eventually 25mg. I used 9ml of 6mg commercial ejuice (as a flavoring) and 16ml 25mg VG nic base, for about 19mg. I mix ejuice in 30ml graduated bottles. Since I only use enough flavoring to cover up the taste of the cotton (0.25%-0.50%), steeping is kind of irrelevant.

The commercial ejuice--Dewwy by Eliquid Depot--was also 70/30 VG/PG. I haven't had PG in my juice since I first ditched the commercial ejuice. This juice has so much flavoring in it that it's seriously present even 2/3 diluted. I'm vaping it now out of a Kanger Subtank Mini--1.2 ohms at 11W.

So there are two possible sources of increased harshness here. The PG, and the freebase nic. I can tell the difference easily, since I'm such a fan of smooth, cool vapes.

The PG definitely makes its presence felt. Not enough to really add harshness so much as to erode smoothness. I don't think the freebase is a big factor there. Overall, it's not as smooth as my usual max VG/salt nic, but it's not badly harsh, either.

The freebase nic is definitely having an effect, though. It "stings" your mouth a lot more than salt nic does.

Dave, I was looking at base liquid at Nude Nicotine last night and they have a salt nic base called "Hit" that's for TH. There's a lot of science stuff about it, but it may be as alkaline as regular salt nic but with a TH. I have it in a cart there now.
But I bought unflavored wta liquid since they had a sale, $8 for 120mls.

I've vaped 24mg/ml freebase mostly for the last 6+ years, and recently 50mg/ml salts for the last 5 months.. I don't have scientific facts to back it up, but I can tell you I'm a lot better off not having smoked nearly 90,000 cigarettes if I had not quit. I don't really care that my Nic use hasn't dropped. At first glance going from 24mg freebase to 50mg salts seems excessive, but I used to chainvape freebase. I take tootle puffing to a new level with 50mg salts.

I think it's mostly snake oil. Salt nicotine is still just nicotine. It has enough impurities in it to make it slightly colored. I'm not convinced that salt nic has any other benefits than that it's less harsh.

LNW has salt nicotine base--100mg/ml--for $11 for 120ml, $60/liter.

100mg Nicotine Salts

They also have a nice informative page on salt nic:
