Right behind you...
I'm thinking the only real improvements we're going to see is more refined versions of the Rayn firmware as time goes on, and it's used by more devices. I expect to see those boards for sale as stand-alones in the not too distant future too.

In the grand scheme of things, the fixed 510 isn't costing them that many sales, they're already selling them as fast as they can make them.

You don't want to use the V4 Shorty on this. Top plate on all the V4's is 1mm, too thin. The V3's are 2mm, perfect since the milled area for the 510 on a Vapor Flask is ~2mm deep, as it was, well, made with a FDV V3 Shorty in mind to start with.
I was talking about using just the v4 shorty spring loaded center pin assembly with the original 510 barrel. Trying to figure out the internal thread spec on the original 510 to see if any other floating pin assemblies would fit in it.

I like the single slotted 510 & know where there is a will, there is a way. Just gotta find it!

I ordered a FD v3 from cigreen with a 22mm washer, do you think it would be possible to grinding the 22mm so it fits in the Waidea? the Waidea outside dia is #18mm, anyway when I receive it I will give it a try ;)

Thought about that myself with Kangxin. I was toying with putting it in a drill chuck & taking it to a grinding wheel.

That would be my guess with something this size. It wont be accepted until Monday. North Carolina to Ky ought to go pretty Quick. You ought to have it on Wednesday or Thursday.

Good tip thx Tpat591, haven't had a FD in my hands before (saw only pics) but I assume the overall thickness with included 22 washer will rise don't know if that's a problem or maybe there is a possibility to grind that also although grinding on the horizontal surface is more complicated.
Ah we will see later this week when it arrives, when I have it in my hands and look at the tools I have I'm sure (hmm... hope ;) ) there will be a solution.

On my Kx with the 22 mm washer it is about 0.65 mm above the plate, without the washer it's flush.
I put a 1/4" bolt through it (the complete v3 shorty), secured with nuts, put into an electric drill and ran it against a file down to 18.5 mm.

hahaha i guess the honey-moon is over, people are starting to get shipping notifications :toast:

edit: ordering on the 5th and what-knot from a US warehouse w/product in stock and not getting notification till the 19th is terrible imo, no matter the circumstances.
dude got married & that's cool but someone else in shipping should have stepped in while he was off!

Apparently the groom doesn't know how to delegate.
