Really, really like my VF from focale. Finish is amazing, especially compared to my other one. The chip is in perfect position. The buttons are nice. The battery doors/chambers are a lot nice. it feels like a more expensive device in the hand.

have my white mini freak show on it right. very nice device

looks like a Kangxin

That was my initial thought also

Looks like a Kangxin to me too but the description says that it's not usb chargable and that the USB is for firmware updates. Why don't I believe it though?

Exactly. The picture with the misaligned brass top cap look like a Kangxin, but the description is confusing at best...

The Kangxin doesn't have the hole for charge indication next to the USB, perhaps that confused them.

Just received my waidea flask today..this thing is solid !! Haven't used any nickel yet but it feels so nice in my hand . How do I change the settings around on this thing ? Wish it had a manual !! Looks awesome with my Lemo 2 tho
Just go to the Evolv site and download the DNA40 PDF

After dry burn on my Nuppin'. I straightened up the coils a bit and wicked with rayon. The wire is twisted 30 gauge Nichrome. I have seen a picture of one done with dual coil Ni200 but I doubt I could even get one coil of nickel in there.

The wire here was twisted by hand months ago, I use a drill nowadays and make it much tighter.

hehe mine does...but it's not stock .
It's a cake walk to replace the stock 510 with a fatdaddy v3 shorty 510. id highly recommend redoing the ground the correct way anyway.

I ordered my FD v3 Shorty yesterday, may well be delivered today, so I will soon be putting your "cake walk" theory to a stern test! Just call me Ol' Sausage Fingers McFumble Allot!

I opened up the Hana enclosure and re-soldered a couple of the connections on the Evolv 40 that's in there, now it's working really nicely in temp mode when I'm using twisted Nickel/Kanthal coils.
I feel bad about all the complaining about the real 40 now although I've still had a few Evolv "duds".

I'm so tempted to swap out the board in the Waidea now because the real 40 is providing me with a better vape - I suspect this is down to the preheat.

Yeah, I'm thinking about ordering a small screen dna40 for mine too. I haven't even used TC much on my VF, but I just don't like the fire delay. Didn't think it would bother me, but for some reason it does.

Well my vapor shark OCC ni coils came in today (running them in my kanger mini since the subtank original is full of fresh juice) and I have to say, ehh I mean it seems to be working good. No dry hits vapor production is ok not the best. my coil is reading at .14 ohms, i have the temp at 450 and the watts at 27.5. I am trying out a new juice with it which in hind sight probably wasn't the best choice since I don't know the juice and flavor (DOH). I would like a little warmer vape than I am getting. It seems to throttle up to the 27.5 pretty well then it drops down to 13.1w with about a 3.5 to 4 second inhale. a After taking another hit while typing this i guess the vapor production is better then I thought.

What are you guys getting from coils with your temp and watt settings?

I ran them upwards of 480-500F after refinement on my real dna40, 22-25W, not that that matters much. My STmini doesn't really fit well on the Waidea so haven't tested it on that.

One thing to note, apparently the ni200 coils are not meant for use with the OG subtank (I don't know why just what I've read), so you made a good choice putting it in the mini.
