The page says something like next batch shipment is on the 23rd if I read it correctly...?

I hope the price is still $65 when I can afford to buy another one.... I really want the waidea now. :(

EDIT: quote from focal

They copied original listing & forgot to edit. At this point you may be better off just ordering from china if they are back ordered in USA from April 6.

Think so? Just order from the china side, it says 2 to 7 calendar days from ordering, that's it....?

edit: so I was about to click the paypal button, when it said takes 2-7 business days to process after payment before shipment, and shipment can be 7-20 days... this is from China obviously......... but if Sand07 has been waiting since the April 5th, than I'm going to be WAY down the list. Need some advice. :(

Right behind you...
Something else to consider about the Waidea flask and availability, is by the very nature of it being almost a 1:1 clone, it also inherits the authentic's long build times. So those two week waits for orders from the factory aren't unrealistic.

China can throw a lot of labor at something if they need a bunch of units fast, for most products (hence the hot glue and stamped metal popularity). For example, the Kangxin is (I'm fairly sure) is mostly cast with some light milling, anodized and then hand assembled from there.

But the Waidea appears to be fully milled, then brushed, then anodized, then assembled in a more complicated (proper) manner than the Kangxin. Those milling machines are certainly in shorter supply than people, and it takes about an hour and a half to mill the authentic at a well equipped modern US fab shop, I doubt the Chinese can mill them any faster.

Then there's competition for the rest of the parts...something tells me that those ChiNA40 boards are in high demand right now, for a number of devices (Kangxin, Waidea, Heatvape all appear to be using them, and there's sure to be more).

I emailed her (sales@) and she (Doris) emailed me back pretty quickly, said they just got a new batch in today and are going thru QC now, and if I ordered now it should ship out within 48 hours - so I pulled the trigger. :D Hopefully as was suggested by Tpat(?) ordering from China warehouse should get it here SOONER than waiting for the USA warehouse to re-stock on April 23rd, and then ship to me...

Using FastTech E-packet as an example, it takes anywhere from 7-10 days to arrive on average, so based on that logic, I SHOULD receive the flask from China around the time they start shipping OUT from the USA warehouse? (I hope I hope I hope)

Just to put things in perspective, I just went out for a burger & 4 pints & with the burger being 1/2 price & with tip that cost me $41US. The price of this flask isn't anything to fret about at all. If it is you have a lot bigger problems to worry about than buying a flask!

You are absolutely correct, I have bigger problems than buying the flask :(
(but I did it anyway, I'll either keep both or sell my current flask with the DNA20 in it)

Wishful thinking never hurts, but my thinking was that USA warehouse only got their first load on April 11, & only managed to ship orders going back to April 6 before they ran out. If you were to order now from USA & they won't ship till they receive on April 23, who is to say they will have enough to send you one. Figure 10-20 days from china & if it comes sooner, you are pleasantly surprised.

Besides, I doubt the groom will be very focused on his job when he gets back from his honeymoon & by then his college buddies will have broken into his dorm room & sold his stock for tabs of blotter, a bag of weed, a couple of pizzas & a keg!

Oh dude... you battled thru all the hot glue? WOW. I had a hard time with this one (whoever makes it LOL) and it had NO HOT GLUE, just a white plastic tray.
You are skilled my man... FOR SURE.

Some 90% rubbing alcohol, q-tips, exacto knife and tweezers. It was pretty easy actually (the glue)

It goes on sale Thursday noon est for $335
I'm curious to see how they did the bottle and 510 socket, I'm pretty sure they used FDV v3 plus BF kit but I think mine is a bit different.
Here is my bottle, note the small metal ring in the top of the vinyl tube to help locate the metal tube of the 510. It goes right on, no fooling with it.

You know what, I deserve another flask for all that pain and suffering I went through on the first one. One could almost I say I need another flask.

So I'm buying one from Focal. Because I'm worth it. And yeah that price is pretty damn incredible, it would really be a crime not to buy it.

So anyway, would you guys trust Samsung 25Rs from Focal? There's a few positive reviews, saying seems genuine, and I've never heard of any big glut of fake Samsungs like with the Sonys etc. The price isn't that much cheaper than UK, so it's not worth any risk, just would make it more convenient receiving it all at the same time.

I'm also buying a bunch of cheap attys and the like - RDAs for £5 must not be ignored, and especially my beloved Aqua v2 for £10, half UK price! (and seemingly a different clone, so this is also a for Science comparison and I'm entirely justified buying two! I'm doing a lot of Italics this morning.)

Anyway yeah, batteries from Focal safe we think?

How does focal ship batteries? They usually can't be shipped by regular air mail so normally you'd have to pay extra or take a slow route. They might ship by regular air mail, but then there's the risk that the package will be stopped without ever reaching you.
