I just feel that maybe Evolv panicked a little with all the chips coming out and decided to realease their board a little too soon, and VF trying (and this is an excellent service) to keep up with the demand forgot a little in the QC department. You feel great now because YOUR board is performing like its supposed to but what about the "minority" reporting problems, yep we have the right to be upset, we shouldn`t be paying a dime more of what we already paid to send our units for repairs, I have to pay $65 to send it to the US, do you think this is fair....

My board actually isn't performing like it's supposed to... Actually I'm part of the rma ... I don't think it's unreasonable... It's disappointing but not unreasonable... Even the most profitable company in the world "Apple" has problem with their devices needing replacement and their devices are double the price of the vapor flasks.. It happens and really these are just #firstworldproblems... Everybody just take a deep breath and be patient as they sort things out..

Maybe I should take this to the DNA40 thread: I hate that I'm dragging Vapor Flask's name through the mud, especially when their part of the product is so damn sexy! I hate when people do this to a product I like, I'm usually one of the first to jump in and defend it. I really hope more DNA40 owners speak up, because I can hardly wait to get my hands on one of these things!

Yes it's evolv's fault... Bring it over there and just keep it to sexy vapor flask goodness here

let me tell you the VF is a gorgeous device, beautiful. Apart from the crooked screen which is nothing major it is absolutely stunning, I think fanboy posted some DIY fix.

No, imo they should pay the return shipping.

Lol, maybe they can charge it back to evolv?
(sent from Mars, it's not as red as I imagined.)

Thanks, will scrap idea to try twisted Ni contact coil & work on building decent spaced ones instead. Still hoping something positive comes from Titanium wire, when i finally recieve it. Anybody here try that yet ? If not i will post results if & when i try it.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe that Rossum has used Ti and posted images.

I'm still interested in your thoughts on it though.

Agreed. It's definitely not the fault of VF and they are doing everything that they can to correct the issue and for that, I salute them.

Lol personally, I feel terrible for the flask folks.

Sure I got a unit with some issues, but for most people, the mod itself is beautiful and extremely well made, which is VF's responsibility. But AH. Tough luck that they are cleaning up evolv's mess at this point.

That's of course the rational part of me speaking. Given that this is my first dna40 device, I did end up blaming the flask as a whole quite a lot hahaha

Can someone give me a definitive list of batteries that fit well in the new Flask with a DNA-40? I know the Sony VTC 5 is recommended but they are hard to find (and many counterfeits exist); I also don't intend to run 40 watts and my understanding is that because the batteries are in parallel half the amperage is going to come from each battery? It seems that the VTC5 is 18.45mm X 65.2mm and there seem to be lots of flat top batteries that will fit. Does anyone have any exact size measurements on the bore holes for the battery? Seems if you have those dimensions you can really go with Evolv's suggested list as long as you respect the size? My interest isn't wattage, I'm running my atty at 8.5 - 10 watts right now and it is fine: What I want is temperature control (as some flavours do degrade with the e-juice getting a much darker colour as I vape them) and of course the awesome design and long lasting between recharging like one is obviously going to get with two batteries. I expect I will never want to exceed 20 watts.

I think this has been covered two or three times in the past week... No one will have a definitive list but maybe some people will tell u what doesn't fit

Shipped my flask to Evolv yesterday to get the RMA started. I have been very pleased with the vaping experience using the DNA 40 board when it isn't freezing. I haven't had any of the other issues mentioned in this post using NI wire.

Keep us posted with your RMA process. I'm curious how long the turnaround will be.

While I haven't use Ni200 wire for more than a couple of tanks in a Kayfun, I have had zero issues listed while vaping on Kanthal. This has been almost two solid weeks of zero issue vaping.

Mine worked just fine with Kanthal. As soon as I tried it with Ni200 I began having issues.

Haha new bug on my chip: when I click the fire button 5 times, it no longer tells me that it is locked. Instead the display simply becomes dim. Pressing the fire button does not fire the atty

Pressing the fire button 5 time again causes the display to brighten up and fires the atty fine
