I'll try that thanks Kiwi!!!!!!!! re; getting blue Samsung 25's to fit the Flask
I'm using the MXJO yellow batteries and they fit perfectly and perform very well. 35amp 2500mah.

Thank you for responding. That's a $40 hit on a VF, the items I bought from them were thankfully cheaper. Very odd explanation. Whether they're an online retailer or not they are not required to collect tax on any item where "Delivery" takes place out of state. So it's either accounting laziness or a way to put some extra money in their pockets.Yes they will because they are not an online retailer... At least that's what they explained to me... So everything rings up through their retail point of sale thus is taxed

Ditto. First unit smooth in and out with HE2s. Replacement would barely take the same battery on one side. Removal required lots of swearing and violent shaking in some order. The tolerance between units vary quite a bit.
My first took all batteries easily except for 25R
My second took all batteries easily.
My third could barely even take a vtc4, an took a lot of forcing to get in

For anyone here that bought their VF from Dixies in GA over the phone and had it shipped out of state, were you charged sales tax on the purchase price?
Just made a purchase from them, and they insisted on charging me sales tax even though they have no presence in my state. I'm less than happy about it...
I want a dual 18650 mod for my dual coil builds. The batteries last a lot longer. But after seeing all the issues with batteries not fitting correctly from one unit to the next, I have decided to avoid the vapor flask. For 300 dollars, they should and need to be perfect. Not interested in a plastic mod (BAP) so I guess I will wait for another company to produce a quality dual mod with the DNA40 chip.
Evolv said:The metering happens in real time only when the device is firing. If you are using a nickel coil and temperature control, you will notice that the meter will behave a bit erratically. Here is why, it is giving you a forecast of remaining battery life based on the last wattage level the device was outputting. Let's say you have a ni200 coil set to 420 degrees and 35 watts. At the beginning of the draw you will likely be close to 35 watts but as the coil comes to temperature the wattage level will be reduced to let's say 6 watts. When you let off the fire button the last wattage output was 6 watts and the battery meter is reflecting a remaining battery life forecast for 6 watts not the 35 watt set point. Hope this answers your question.

IT'S ALIIIIVE!
My precious has been repaired and returned to me! Cost as much to repair as some mods, but it still works likes a champ and they even managed to level out my buttons for me (not flush, but not crooked anymore).
*happy dance*
Update: Sent my Flask in the 12th due to chip problems. It wasn't firing no matter what coil i did on my drippers, but worked perfectly well on my hana dna40. So i received it back in the mail on the 18th-19th and It was fixed! Plus, it came back in the SAME condition i sent it, which is good taking into consideration i was expecting it to arrive with more scratches and dents! Not one single scratch or ding in the finish, and the repair was done accordingly! If you have any doubts like i did, just talk to Preston on the Flask FB group, and you'll be taken care of.
The VF team is amazing. The repair time was no more than a week and a few days, Arrived back FIXED,
no scratches or dents, and getting a hold of Preston is easy as ..... =) Plus i got the new updated
DNA40 chip that shows Celsius
After a good week or so of use, the flask is still performing well.
My experience with the DNA40 with nickel wire: ITS FINICKY AS ......
none of my spaced coils seem to produce any vapor, and hit TP rather fast.
My Touching Micro coils and Macro coils work well, but not as well as what im going to tell you!
The only reliable coil i have gotten to work was a twisted 28gK/28gN wire TOUCHING micro and
macro coil. But i learned most of my touching coils never, almost NEVER
NEVER work unless i glow the touching coil at 10 watts and squeeze them together.
So far its been a week with the coil, and works every time. Set at 450 degrees and its a warm dense
vape in my veritas (vertical coil). Hardly hits TP too! There is some browning in the coil and my cotton
hasn't burned once.
You're lucky man. I sent my Flask in on the 3rd of Dec. and still don't have it back. I am thankful that VF was willing to fix it for me, but I was hoping to have it back by xmas. Doesn't look like that's gonna happen....![]()

JP? Have you contacted Preston anymore from your initial contact? Your Flask may have been misplaced. Mine was. I got a shipping email from Jamie on a Wednesday. By Friday, it still hadn't shown that USPS had it in their hands. I contacted Preston, he found it packaged, on a desk, under a box. Shipped it out that day.
