That's my understanding as well. No larger screen in the Flask. Not sure if that was in the video or if I read that on the VF Owners group FB page.

They'd have to change their tooling to make the window larger to accommodate the larger screen.

I was just in Dixie's Vapor shop today, Kennesaw. The Vapor Flask is made in Marietta, GA. and I talked to the sales people who continue my flaked-out units for repair. I'm on my third gunmetal--the last went into psyco-autoscroll. They mentioned a new version with larger screen coming out soon...pretty much from the horses mouth. Haven't had ANY problems with my 'natural' silver one, 'though.

Charlie..... The owner and creator of the Vapor Flask was recently a guest on Plumes of Hazard.
He said point blank that they will not be using the version with the bigger screen.

How often are batches released? Loving what I see of this bad boy. Really don't want to go the clone route.

There aren't really "batches" but more of a rotation of vendors if they're out of stock, if you need any help finding one, I'm good friends with Preston or you could join the VaporFlask Owners group on facebook.

Plus, some people already complain about the screen's placement, so why make it bigger and brighter?

So here's where we stand on my vapor flask success rate for just me...

this is kinda ridiculous... 1st mod: chip glitches, second mod: chip glitches, 3rd mod: shorted out, 4th mod: charger not connected to chip...
The charger is obviously not connected to the chip... Fifth time is the charm??? plugged it in with no batteries and see if it powers up the board... It should start up but not fire an atomizer
I'm not mad, I just want it fixed! I paid 350 for the mod and shipping and 3 months later I still haven't got what I paid for!!

Just so y'all don't think I'm lying to u

Heespharm,

First I don't believe anyone can be that unlucky. That's just incredible and my heart goes out to you - really.

Oh - by the way you are showing pictures of a VapoFlask and talking about a Vapor Shark... typo???

Heespharm,

You know I have a nagging feeling that some of Vapor Flask problems are that they have some techs that don't know how to handle the electronics i.e. static electricity problems. I would be almost willing to bet that the same tech that fixed it for you first time gets handed back his own failure for him/her to repair.

Hewlett Packard once said in an article that static electricity due to miss handling cost the Electronics Industry more money ever year than any other type of failure. and static damage tends to be erratic in it's display of symptoms.

You might want to call write both Evolv and Vapor Flask and ask them both if they are aware of such problems. I am sure Evolv is but I wonder about Vapor Flask.

Charlie said they outsource all their wiring and soldering to certified soldering company who handle everything from dishwashers to atm machines

Well maybe the solders are not that knowledgeable AND/OR the person at Vapor Flask that picks it up sets it down on a nylon piece of carpet (not to scratch the flask) and has rubber soled shoes on and is a walking lightning bolt waiting to happen... something strange has to be going on. :2c:

I think that all of us with properly functioning Vapor Flasks should thank Heespharm for sucking up all the bad karma.

Haha well Charlie called me today but I missed the call Jaime is sending me a fifth unit... Here's to hoping

My board has been perfect since day one and I think I'm developing some sort of survivor's guilt after reading about all of Heespharm's woes.

I sucked up a few as well.

I have 5 Flasks. Four 40s and one 30. I got screen glitches with three of the 40s. Sent the 3rd one to VF just yesterday. It was a newer revision board too - the one with F/C modes.

Holy christ man... i was thinking about picking up a flask but i keep hearing so much negatives about the electronics. I'll hold off until they get their stuff together.

Got myself a flask today! Was about to order it online when I decided to check the store location for the hell of it, with the usual mind set of "no doubt it's 2 million miles away like the rest)...it's in my home town! At first I couldn't get my kayfun in there but a pair of pliars and a lot of twisting later the threading seems to be fine. This thing is gorgeous! I've been on mechanicals for a while (Reo Grande, Stingray, Nemesis, Poldiac, HCigar Hammer) and within a day of having this I think I'm done with mechanicals :p The build quality is amazing, feels great in my hand and so far has given me a much more consistent vape than my last set up.

My only question now is how do I switch to celcius? The website says:

"The next evolution in regulated power delivery the DNA40 now offers the user the ability to set and adjust the temperature limit of the coil, and this latest version has both Celsius and Fahrenheit control capabilities on a single board. "

however the video says there will be 2 versions of the DNA40 (I assume the video is old). Could someone tell me?
