I don't understand the battery rage, they recommend using the Sony VTC5. If you choose not too then that is on you.

I'm sure they didn't expect Sony VTC5 or 4 would be so hard to get. Its a screw-up imo; build something that your customers won't be able to easily find the recommended batts for.
I'm not ......; i just acknowledge that we have to improvise.

I don't believe this.

It is a picture of a dna 30 Vapor Flask and it shows the brass battery plugs in the bottom. Didn't you say they didn't

No i'm sorry if that's what was it sounded like... they went V1 no replaceable batts... V2 dna 30 replaceable batts.... V2 DNA 40. Again peeps correct me if wrong.

Edit: Beaten... Bneat covered it before me.

I don't see the problem with the batteries maybe I got lucky but all of my Sony's, mxjo's, and lg he2's work perfectly.

Im really amazed at this dna 40 and temp protection. It works perfectly with my kayfun v4 and now im vaping a dual 28g, 14 spaced wrap ni200 on my 454 big block, it's @ .07 30 watts and it's just amazing. Im flabbergasted lol I've always hated that some juice breaks down when sub ohmed but this.... this is just perfect, and it vapes great all the way until it's dry. Brilliant!

Snow Bird,

Just out of curiosity do you know if the previous models i.e. DNA30 had batter size issues?

I just took a look at the Vapor Flask DNA30 V2 and it has removable batteries.

Does anyone know if it had the same battery problems as the DNA 40 Flask? It is not really important but I don't think I have heard anyone say "Yup the DNA 30 and 40 had the same problem".

I own a V2 DNA30 but had never put anything in it other than VTC5's and LG HE2's. I do have a pair of calipers and can measure if you like when I get home.

I don't recall much talk at all about battery issues with that revision though. This thread was started when the first revision came out. If there were any problems with battery sizes, it would have been discussed early on in the thread.

I don't think there was any milling revisions that took place between the V1 and V2 DNA30... someone correct me if i'm wrong. I believe the only changes were the fire button and the addition of the battery doors. The DNA40 version, from what i've read, only changed the board and the 510 and some engraving on the bottom. Again... someone more knowledgable... call me out if i'm wrong.

I don't recall any changes with the fire button between v1 and v2. The only change that I thought there was, was the user serviceable batteries. All the other changes for each revision that you mention are correct.

The button was upgraded from aluminum on the V1 to stainless on V2 evidently.

Hi Guys, Can someone shed some insight on weather these are real or fall in the hoax category. I've been buying AW for "normal" vaping and just getting prepared for a dna 40 devise, so have zero Sony experience Thanks in advance.

Don't want to jinx it but closing in on day 2 of my repaired vapor flask, and it looks like this ones a winner... It has Celsius, fires all my mods, and left in the fridge for an hour and fired right up with no glitches

Looks like fifth times the charm

Some people claim it makes an already glitchy board present with a glitch.. So I thought it would be something else to try

Ah ok... i can see that in the first rev of the DNA 40 with the issue under the screen ribbon cable... moving around under contraction and expansion maybe. Makes sense.
