I don't understand the battery rage, they recommend using the Sony VTC5. If you choose not too then that is on you.
I don't believe this.
It is a picture of a dna 30 Vapor Flask and it shows the brass battery plugs in the bottom. Didn't you say they didn't![]()
When the 30 was released, they didn't have battery access yet

Snow Bird,
Just out of curiosity do you know if the previous models i.e. DNA30 had batter size issues?
I just took a look at the Vapor Flask DNA30 V2 and it has removable batteries.
Does anyone know if it had the same battery problems as the DNA 40 Flask? It is not really important but I don't think I have heard anyone say "Yup the DNA 30 and 40 had the same problem".![]()
I don't think there was any milling revisions that took place between the V1 and V2 DNA30... someone correct me if i'm wrong. I believe the only changes were the fire button and the addition of the battery doors. The DNA40 version, from what i've read, only changed the board and the 510 and some engraving on the bottom. Again... someone more knowledgable... call me out if i'm wrong.
I own a V2 DNA30 but had never put anything in it other than VTC5's and LG HE2's. I do have a pair of calipers and can measure if you like when I get home.
I don't recall much talk at all about battery issues with that revision though. This thread was started when the first revision came out. If there were any problems with battery sizes, it would have been discussed early on in the thread.
I don't recall any changes with the fire button between v1 and v2. The only change that I thought there was, was the user serviceable batteries. All the other changes for each revision that you mention are correct.
The button was upgraded from aluminum on the V1 to stainless on V2 evidently.

Not remembering what I watched is bad enough. Not remembering where I watched it really pisses me off!![]()
Don't want to jinx it but closing in on day 2 of my repaired vapor flask, and it looks like this ones a winner... It has Celsius, fires all my mods, and left in the fridge for an hour and fired right up with no glitches
Looks like fifth times the charm

Whoa... do explain please! Is there some known DNA 40 cold temp issue i'm not aware of? I'm waiting to purchase a Flask and def want the low down on this.
Some people claim it makes an already glitchy board present with a glitch.. So I thought it would be something else to try
