Just popping back in to say I'm still loving my flask. It does have the cold weather glitch freeze up board, but I'm not going to send it in just yet. So far it's an easy fix, don't try and fire it if it's super cold. My reos are my go to for cold days anyhow.

The dual battery really makes the flask my preferred dna40 device. The dna 40 has turned me into a dripping fan. Using one on a single battery dna40 at 40w requires me to swap fresh batteries in every two hours or so if I'm vaping heavily on duals, not so with the flask. It usually gets me through an entire day and into the next before I'm getting the weak battery warning.
I'm super excited for their squonker! It with a bf derringer might be in my future. Any word on what they're looking to come in at for price point?

Coldpunk,

I have had the same battery experience with the Flask. I don't run as much power as you do but two days on a set of batteries is the norm for me.

Speaking of batteries, I've just run into a new issue with 2 of my Flasks. I inserted two fully charged batteries, hit the fire button once and it read half full. Didn't even make it through a full 8 hour work day and it was saying "Weak Battery". Got home, pulled the batts and checked them on the DMM. They both read 3.98v.

Reading around on fb and I find that this is the latest issue. The screen scramble seems to have finally been squared away and now this.

i dont know how to do the 7w in watts in kanthal non TP mode for new coils, so i have tried to do some half-a..sed heating the coil to burn off residue; I'll turn the temp up to high 500's and with my last .10 28g coil the Flask batt meter went to empty after about 3 presses (with fresh batts)...
ok, so I just cut it out and wick and vape; the batt readings come back to normal. at normal temp (400 to 450 )

btw... i would guess that batts would work harder or less if you temp is higher or lower.

Got my flask back, finally the posties decided to deliver it instead of admiring it themselves.

The board seems to be working excellently, only been a day but I've tested four different builds in both nickel and kanthal and it seems to be working excellently. The screen is dead straight now and the issue I was having with batteries being shown as dead whilst still at 4V is not recurring. Plus I've got a board that also has Celsius, which appeals to the European in me

I absolutely love this mod, definitely the best one I've ever bought - now I just need to get my head around how to get the best out of nickel wire

I am having the hardest time with nickel lol. I can't seem to get it working correctly with TC for more than a day. On any of these 3 atties.
The mod has the latest chip with the Celsius. Everything seems to work ok (except charging, but that doesn't bug me)
Got more nickel on the way, so hopefully I can finally get it to work ok.

I wonder if it's the climate I'm in. Maybe cold climates don't play well with TC.

Jax, do you have anymore info on this problem?

Has anyone experienced a problem with Vapor Flask DNA40 Battery Charge Indicator?

It was never accurate from the get go. It use to show "Full Charge" for a long time, then all of a sudden, showed Low Battery.

Yesterday it's behavior changed. Even with two freshly charged VTC4 or VTC5 batteries it shows less then half charge all the time.
I tried different pair of batteries - same thing. I tried charging it using it's USB port, LED turned green, after while but the battery indicator still shows half charge.

Need some help. Temp is working fine but won't reach the temp I have it set at? It was last night but isn't today?
Magma at 1.8 20.3 watts at 390 degrees gets to about 315?
Any clue?

Hey bud,

Saw you on FB but figured I'd reply here too. I usually run my drippers up around 460-480 degrees. This gives me a nice warm vape and keeps the mod from hitting TP too often. Perhaps try bumping up the temp incrementally by 10-20 degrees at a time until you get the vape you're looking for. It could just be that your temp is set too low. Also, like one of the other guys said, the mod will hit TP less when you're actually vaping it, as you have the airflow going over the coil....

EDIT: just saw that it's working ok now. I would just check to make sure your connections are tight and that you have no overlapping/touching wraps in your coil....just in case....

Nope. It only happened once although I have yet to use one of them. The other, I pulled the batteries, put them on the charger and re-inserted them. Pressed the fire button and the battery indicator read full. I brought the mod to work yesterday and brought another in case I had issues again. It vaped fine all day and when I got home, the battery indicator was just under full. I'll be trying the other one tomorrow.

I've been exclusively using my Flask for 7 weeks without any issues (except for the lame battery meter, which I pay no attention to anymore) I vape around 30watts with mostly Ni coils, probably 8-10ml per day, and I plug it in every night, so it's been getting a pretty good work out.

*fixed* (7 weeks now...still functions perfectly)
