And there is insurance. 50.00 What is 50.00 going to do to replace a 300.00 mod.

Not to beat a dead horse but most Credit Card companies will make good on an Item that was not what you ordered (working) or an item you ordered and never received.

The call to them is free. Also I am sure Vapor Flask has some kind of business insurance that will make the error good for them and you.
Please just call them and see. In my purse $300 rupees is a lot of money.

I told VF about the issue and they blew me off. It looks like no one gets to be held accountable for this mistake and I get to eat it.

Good god is be upset as well. That's on vapor flask for delivering the tracking late. Had you had it in time you could of taken quick action and probably got it back.

I feel you pain Haylon. Whish I could think of some other suggestion but if Vapor Flask doesn't want to help you I don't know what else you can do. Maybe someone with a similar experience will jump in here with some idea.

Regards,

It is what it is I guess. I guess what really has me POd is the fact that 2 places dropped the ball doing what they get paid to do. Their Job! VF failed to communicate. USPS failed to deliver to the correct address. Who pays the price? The customer. 2 things I have learned from this.
1- Don't use USPS for valuable items.
2- Avoid VF products at all costs.
I'm done ranting. But maybe my misfortune can give others a heads up so they can avoid a costly mistake.

Gentlemen,

The only thing that comes to mind is to post this incident on their FaceBook page or threaten to first. I don't think Vapor Flask would want that kind of negative feedback.

Like Paper says it is kind of in their court... no tracking and inadequate insurance. :2c:

Haylon,

I am not trying to rub salt in your already painful situation but why don't you call your bank. I have heard that Debits have principles like a lot of credit cards just after the fact and a little more difficult to deal with but call them and see if they can help. It maybe a debit card but it is a bank affiliated credit card also.

"Just saying"

I've heard nothing but good about Vapor Flask's CS. Hell, they are giving out loaners when you send your device in for repair now.

Haylon, have you PMed Preston Kight on the VaporFlask Owners group on facebook? I'm absolutely certain that if he hears your story, he will do whatever he can to make it right.

You've also got some recourse with both the USPS and local law enforcement, as the person who ended up with your Flask has committed a crime if they keep it when it was not addressed to them, and depending on the state, the value of the Flask is high enough to constitute felony theft.

Croak,

Actually messing with the mail "keeping what is not yours" may even be covered under Federal law. - Ouch, those guy are nobody to play with.

My wife called the post office to see what exactly went on. She has a calmer head than I do. Anyway, there was a sub the day it was delivered. Keep in mind that I live out in BFE. They can't get a hold of the sub. Anyway, they said that they would check every mailbox on the route and see by chance if someone was honest enough to put it back in their mailbox. Time will tell.
