Dropped mine this week getting it out of my pocket. Hit at the bottom end near the battery cap. Didn't notice anything until I needed to replace batteries. Battery cap on that side takes more effort to screw in and it won't taht the LG HE4s, only takes VTC4s now. Finish is pretty tough, not even a scatch on it. Need to figure out a good way to tap that side out without messing up the threads.

I did make the list :D
Just checked ENS and looks like the Chalice is sold out (wasn't looking to spend quite that much).
I'm patiently waiting on the next HF Viper list...

I got an email yesterday from VapinArt stating that the Chalice will be available Friday, April 3rd, at Noon EST.

Ouch! Sorry to hear this.

If you can't get it taken care of yourself, I believe ECF member Pocha had her case replaced by VF for $40-45 if I'm not mistaken.

What do you mean by "sleeve"? I've been looking for something to protect mine besides a wrap.

Yes...I was quoted $45. I sent mine in for the weak battery problem and asked them to replace the shell while it was there and bill me. I've messaged Preston twice because I never received an invoice for the shell. Haven't gotten a response. I'm starting to think they don't want my money! lol.

I have used the EFEST Purple batteries for a few times in my VF and have switched over to the Sony VT4's but when I switched back to the EFEST the right side battery sits farther in than the left rendering the mod not powering up with the EFEST. Uhh is this normal?

Probably a "duh" question, but did the possitive terminal on that battery get smashed somewhere along the way?

edit: it should work fine with only one battery.

It sounds like the Sonys are longer and have compressed (bent) the posi contact in somewhat.

Yes to both Holman, it's very strange and I don't want to open the top

Maverickbo,

I had the same problem with my Vapro Flask. The first batteries I stuck in were Efest and they are a little too tight in the tube. I pushed them in anyway and it was like they (at one point during insertion) popped in compressed the spring clip internally and because of how tight they were in the tube just stayed pushed way in.holding the spring clip overly compressed. When you put the bat plug in the battery is just too far up in the tube and didn't make contact on the plug end.

It was difficult to get them back out but I kept pounding the bottom of the flask against the palm of my hand and finally inertia forced the batteries to drop down enough that I was able to get my hands on the end of the Bat an pull them the rest of the way out.

Before I had a chance to make the same mistake a second time someone posted that by sanding the battery sleeve a little would allow them to slide smoothly in and out as they should. I used some fairly coarse sandpaper and then polished the batteries with one of those green pot scrubbers and all is good now and they slide very easy in the tubes and no more binding.

By the way Maverick if you sand them to the point that all the printing is removed and all the sheen of the plastic wrap is gone that is all you need to take off. It is only a thousandth or two over size. Then I just marked what type they are with a magic marker and marked them in pairs "A", "A", "B", "B".... etc to keep them as matched pairs.

One caveat is you do accidently bare a spot on the battery down to bare metal no harm done. It is after all the ground side of the battery anyway. I have read post where people accidently nicked a battery on the threads and considered the battery damaged... "This is just not true" and they will work just fine. If OCD takes over Google replacement sleeves you can buy about ten sleeves for $1 dollar in any color you want including clear.

Hope this helps and I sure hope we are talking about the same problem... I am pretty sure we are but you know how it goes in these post.

PS - Now when I insert any battery I push it in just deep enough to let the bat plug start to thread and let plug push the battery in until it makes contact even though the sanded ones now slide in and out like they should (nice and smooth).

Howdy folks! Ok, after reading this entire thread over the past couple days I felt mentally prepared for the arrival of my Project Sub Ohm Vapor Flask. I read tales of sorrow and of joy, astonishment and disbelief. Well the thing arrived today and I am as happy as a VF owner can be in the first hour! The packaging from VaporDNA blew my mind. A thin USPS bubble bag, the Flask was in a small cardboard box with one corner crushed a bit. ...! I imagined my screen would be knocked crooked but no, it is fine. Everything is working fine (still have to run TP mode.) Scratch-free, battery covers turn smoothly, I applied some Naolox anyway. LG HE4's slide right in. The PSO carbon fiber wrap is quit nice although I see why VaporDNA doesn't give pics of the back, the seam shows clearly at the point it overwraps. They say "gel wrap" in the description but it is not at all squishy. Let's hope the hatch won't need to come off as the wrap covers right to the top. I don't have a very loose USB. The braided charge cord provided is tight and to be safe I will probably use another with a looser fit. What else... The red buttons are slick, up and down are flush not staggered. I am off to build some coils with the 28g nickel, got some Native Wicks to try and fingers crossed all will be well!
