If your looking for an authentic VF, I just ordered one of the red (marsala) ones and it will be to me on Wednesday. I found them at Vaperev. First time ordering from them and they have great customer service so far. I ordered it in the morning and it was shipped by mid day. They had a bunch of the colors in stock.

The VF Squonk arrived s few hours ago. Two coils were ready for it:

Wrong orientation vs. correct orientation for the Chalice III

And the star of the show, the Squonker

Still need work to get the Chalice to perform because the AFC remains a mystery to me. The Origen v2 with both air slots open is decent gives a dripper-est flavor. More work to do...

^^^^ The above photo of the Origen v2 is obviously wrong. Both attys were coiled before receiving the VF Squonk, with no concern for how the Squonk actually worked.

It took a while to understand why no liquid was being pushed into the well. The nut needed to be reversed [turned upside down]. Then, and only then: eliquid. ;)

So I can't tell due to the black on black, but how is that squonk hole trimmed? Rolled/rounded aluminum from the billet, or some sort of grommet?

Does that pic answer your question?

ETA: For those following my lil Chalice adventure it seems, IMO, that PB is correct and SXMX is not. My problem using the SXMX method was extremely limited airflow. With the PB method (and logic) I get plenty of airflow.

12 wraps of 30 awg on a 2.4 mm screwdriver landing at 0.14 on the ohm reader and 0.13 ** on the Flask. Vaping at 430F and 19.5 Watts with the possibility of taking the watts and temp higher.

[** Gotta stay comfortably over 0.10 ohms on a DNA device because of the potential for "refinement" downward. ]

If there is a challenge to this opinion (of mine) I would appreciate hearing it.

How about that VF Squonk? Pricey but does look like a great bottom feeder.

Well, the Flask is a great device to begin with imo. My Squonker works great although the bottle is pretty hard and a little tough to press. I'm loving it though.

asbestos is saying that he got some 9ml bottles from Vapeage made for the VMOD that work in his Flask Squonker and are much easier to press. He also states that he has a helluva time getting them out so he came up with an idea to use a piece of floss/string that he loops around the top of the bottle and uses that floss/string to remove the bottle. I'll probably give this a try myself.

That just needs orange stickers and you're set Jax.

Or you could put some gold on your Marsala and rock out like a 'Nole. :)

Some orange buttons and screws would be killin' it! :D

Oh and, screw you and the 'Noles! ;)

They cut an oval in the aluminium case and rounded the edges.

Got a responsive PM from asbestos. Wanted to see my build. (Attached)

Just ordered 3 X 2-pack from Vapage.

Any comment on horizontal or perpendicular coil? I now have the coil horizontal on the wide side of the deck but will soon try perpendicular again. It's all about the airflow (which I kinda figured out. :))

*sigh*

...there went more of my money. Blue flask was just too tempting. This will make 3...they're just so purdy ;)

I hear that. Just waiting on my IRS check and I'm going for number 2 in Blue. Just a great mod and feels great in the hand.

Jax. I'm really enjoying my VF Squonker with black Nuppin and black muffler Trippy Tip.

Looks great sedge! Been thinking about a Nuppin for a bit now. Time to do a little research.

I have only built mine once. Needs a rebuild today but thought I'd post this image for you anyway. Take note of the wick tails in comparisone to yours.

I tihnk the VF has my money for my next purchase. I am fairly new to vaping (4 months analog free). Started with an MVP20W, moved onto IPV Mini 2 with Subtank and a few various RDA's. Now I just ordered the VS rDNA40....and if I like that I will purchase this for my 6 month anniversary off of analogs.

It is just a beautiful mod.

Congrats on quitting the stinkies! The rDNA is a very functional little mod. It should serve you well.

VaporFlask on the other hand, serves both form and function perfectly for me. Outstanding ergonomics, legendary evolv electronics, solid, rugged build quality, dual 18650's for unparalleled battery life, all capped with some of the best customer service in the industry. You're gonna love it!

Really been thinking of getting a Vapor Flask recently, but I just don't know if I want a regulated device anymore after using an IPV3 for the past 6+ months. I broke out my trusty MCV Overdose yesterday and there is just something I like about the simplicity of a mechanical mod. No computer inside. I have also been considering a HexOhm. I really like how the Flask looks and it has two batteries, but I just don't know if I want another regulated device. HexOhm is cool since it is essentially a mechanical but with the ability to adjust the volts. On the other hand, the Flask sure does look sweet. Decisions...
