Vapor King: Automatic/Manual Batteries...

I like manuals because I feel I have more control over the hit I get. With autos I feel like Im smoking a cigar,I cant figure out how to use them right.

That's what a friend of mine was trying to tell me, but I figured "What better place to get info from, than right here on the V4L forums? By the way, my friend has a Vapor King and swears by the Automatic batteries, in which I'm not so sure. I'm getting ready to place my order for a Vapor King soon, so I wanted to get opinions from more people. Appreciate the feedback.

I like the manuals for when I am hanging around the house. I like the auto's for when I am on the go or doing stuff with my hands. I just hold the VK in my teeth with the autos.

Both have their advantages.

Yeah, I can see where your coming from. I'm sure they both have their advantages and disadvantages. I guess I'm more leaning towards the fact of thinking the manuals will allow a better throat hit, considering you have more control, but I'm just assuming. Like "keyzygirl" stated above, I should probably get one of each and see what I like best for myself. After all, what one person enjoys, another may hate. Right?

Personally I do not notice a difference in throat hit. But just like flavors and nicoting strength all things in the vaping world are relative. It is very smart of you to try little bit of everything when you are starting out :)

So, you honestly don't notice a difference at all in throat hit? I also heard that when refilling carts, that you have to use "caution", when using the automatic batteries, compared to using the manuals. You or anyone else ever hear about this? Something about killing the automatic battery, if juice gets inside it, which I can envision happening.

Yes you do have to be careful to not overfill the carts when using auto batteries. But I think that goes for all carts personally, no need to waste juice overfilling. When I refill I let them sit for a day so the juice gets fully absorbed.

I top off my carts right on the battery, another reason autos are not an option.Id be killing them left and right.

So, there is truth in killing automatic batteries if your not careful? Something else for me to think about and consider.

True, I assume if you watch what your doing and be careful, there shouldn't be too much to worry about in the end.

Yeah the auto's you have to clean once in awhile. I haven't damaged any of my autos with refills.

I only have the auto, but I will probably purchase manuals from now on. The autos have been great and reliable. I just think a manual would be a little less likely to give issues.

Then, that makes me ask you a question. Why switch, if you say they've been "great and reliable"? I've always been the type that believes in "Why fix, what's not broken?". Just curious.

I'm sure that maintenance has to be performed on all PV's. It's good to hear you haven't had any issues with your automatic batteries. :)

I am a mechanic and it seems the more technology they put into the vehicles, the more problems seem to arise. I know batteries are not quite the same as a 40,000lb truck. but it seems the more automated moving parts the engineers install, the more they break down.

i prefer the manuals.

1. i do think i have better vape from them: more vape/throat hit for force of draw, if that makes sense
2. i much prefer the fact that the manuals are sealed inside (so overfills/gunk/moisture isn't an issue)
3. i seem to hear about more issues with autos here than manuals. that said i have a couple of autos that haven't had an issue--but i haven't used them much, either.
