Picked up my VS yesterday at VCCT. (It was a great time). I have been using a 20 watt istick with a Russian 91%. Running at 1.2 or so ohms. I'm having a heck of a time getting good flavor from my current build on my VS, built .71ohms 21 watts with 24 Guage kenthall. Any suggestions? Also it came set at 450 degrees, should I change that?

Temperature protection only works with Ni200 coils, it won't do anything with Kanthal (and the dna is smart enough to know the difference, so it won't attempt to use TP on a Kanthal coil.) If you want to keep from burning your cotton, set it around 400-410 degrees. Otherwise, just set it to whatever gives you a satisfying vape. But remember in any case that it only works with nickel wire.
A watt is a watt. Are you sure it's not just a problem with your build? How's it fare on your other device(s)?
i have a VS rDNA30 and from my experience running at that ohm you should crank that wattage up to about 30w.
