The batts come ready to go!

Oh wow, I didn't know that. The instructions say charge for 8 hrs. My initial thoughts after vaping white choc strawberry, premium dr pepper and premium peach:

White choc straw- pretty good. This would be better in a premium carto because it's kinda lacking in the vapor department. Good flavor though.

Premium Dr. Pepper- Didn't care for this flavor. Reminds me of black licorice. I really wanted to like this flavor because dr. pepper is my favorite soda

Premium peach- My fave so far. Great peach flavor and smells great.

I might try 18mg on my next order. 24 might be too strong for me.

Just tried a free carto I got mount do. It was good. Lot's of vapor out of this! Also tried 2 cartos out of my premium menthol sampler, Dunhall menthol and kamel menthol. Both were good but to me the dunhall tasted more like a real menthol analog. The kamel had more menthol flavor to me though. I'm really liking the dunhalls.

Hi all! :D
I'm new to vaping, and anxiously awaiting my supplies; Vapor King Shorty value kit, Almond Choco-coco Delight, and Irish Cream carto's 24 mg strength. I am a menthol somker, but I thought I would give something different a try. I'm hoping 24 mg isn't going to be too strong, as I smoke lights.
I have some questions I'm hoping someone could help me out with.

1. What should I expect for batt life with the shorty batts?
2. Normally I somke about a pack a day, what should I expect for carto life?
3. What should I expect for an average monthly cost for supplies?

Those are the few questions that come to mind right now. I sure I'll have more after I get started.

Happy vaping to all! :)

@bornagainst - you were dead on. I got a confirmation email on Monday (next business day from order date) around 6:15pm that my order would be shipped out. I got my Ultimate Ultimimatum Auto Kit yesterday (Wednesday). I can't believe how fast it shipped and the fact that the batteries were charged. I got both menthol sampler packs to see which flavor I liked best. Once you get used to this thing, it's truly awesome. I do have a couple of questions though.

1. Seemingly, both batteries came charged so I haven't tried charging a dead battery yet. I plugged in the USB charger and the light is lit up blue upon plugging it in. After I plugged in the battery it stayed lit up blue. How do I know when the battery is fully charged from the USB charger? Is there an indicator light?

2. I am vaping as if I am having an analog cig. So, I am occassionally taking pulls off of it like I'm having a smoke break and I like to keep everything in the carrying case for convenience. Is it better to dissassemble the cart and battery or does it not matter for battery life if I leave the cartomizer connected to the battery when I'm not vaping?

Initial thought:
-A lot of times with any purchase one may get a feeling of cognitive dissonance, where you'll second guess your purchase and wonder if you should've done it. I have NOT for one second even had this thought. Everything feels so solid and works so well. This is literally a life changing experience/purchase and is so welcomed in my life. The only time I have been this excited over a new purchase was when I got my first iPod.

Devils....awesome to hear that you are liking what you got!

Let's see....

1. When you plug in your battery, the LED blinks 5 times. If you are using the USB charger, there is a red light on it. The red light stays on while charging. Once the red light goes off, or turns green, you are good to go.

2. I always leave my cartos on my batteries. If you are using auto batteries, it may be wise to take your cartomizers off to avoid them going off. I've heard of that happening. Not often, but every now and then. If you are using manuals, just leave them on, it is totally fine. (when I was using auto batteries, I left everything on...never had an issue personally).

3. I never re-cap my cartomizers unless I have just refilled them.

Hope that answers your questions. It gets better every day!

Hi all,
I have a question. I just bought my mom and dad a kit (same as I use) that isn't a V4L. I'm going to give him some time to try it, but he seems a little hesitant about the fill it yourself option. While I can buy prefills for what he has and actually included some in the order, I think that V4L would be a good option if he really does dislike filling them. (Mom will probably fill his for a while) He has been filling a zippo forever, so I'll have to see after he's had it a bit. Anyway, if it turns out he would do better with this, I want to get him set up with whatever he needs. Do any of you have any feelings about how many cigs a cart would equal. I know this isn't exact, but I just need something as a guide. I haven't been able to find this anywhere, but I have found lots of good reviews.
Thanks all!

A carto is roughly the same as a pack of analogs, depending on how much you hit it. Refilling isn't for everyone, I've even learned I don't much care for it, it's easy enough, but still a pain sometimes, and no more than the cartos cost it's easy to get lazy and just buy the prefilled. I've also found the refills don't last as long, no matter how I refill them.
When you start you will vape much more than you smoked, it's a learning curve and it's new. I would originally go through two or three carto's a day, I'm down to one a day now.
Don't force it on him, let him have at it, we all have our own pace, he may want to smoke a while until he gets used to it. He may give up the analogs right away. He may vape and be happy then go back to analogs. It's ok, everybody responds differently let him find his way.
Ask anything else, we try to help.

Oh hai! (I just embarrassed my teen by typing that and he isn't even here to read it!)

Anyway, I'm Liz, I'm new, I've been using a 510 for a short while (and loving it) but have recently decided to add the VK from V4L to my collection. Why? I'm the pioneer amongst my friends, and they trust me to find good tech stuff for them.

I originally ordered 510s for the ones wanting a smoking option, but after seeing my Luddite husband's expression as I explained use/maintenance, I've been re-thinking this!

Anyway, I researched PV options again, and found this community! I also found and bookmarked Puff's blog (I love blogs!). I've decided to recommend this as an option to the 510s I bought my friends.

About me? Smoked 35 years and got to pack and 1/2 a day. Started PVs 6 days ago, and two days ago lost the urge for analogs. I like art, linguistics, bugs, virtual worlds, reading, drumming, and cheese. Oh and I think we can add vaping to that list now!!

If anyone is wondering -- candyhead refers to the pink hair I had until recently. I miss it! Oh well, must act grown-up at some point I guess! :D

I got my kit this week and wanted to take the time to really check it out. I wanted to find a better product with fewer hassles then the RN4081 I was using....
WOW!!! I am a V4L customer from today forward, I have been vaping on and off for about 2 months... Off due to frustrations with my 4081...
Since I got my VPK kit, I have only had 2 Analogs, which really were only for comparison.

In conclusion you can have my VPK when I'm done with it... Just ask my lawer while he reading my will, cause I aint surrending it willingly

I never thought Vaping could be this good!:w00t:

Hi all!

My experience mirrors Candyhead's also. Been smoking for 25 years and even though I had wound down to less than 1/2 pack a day, my kids were begging me to quit. My 17yr old daughter said I needed to research the whole e-cig thing and so I did. I bought and used the 510 for a while, but the 3 pieces and manual battery was a bit of a hassle. Besides... I found the flavors to be less than amazing.

After nearing the end of a new pack of analogs (bought a pack due to a family mini-crisis)... I was considering quitting the whole vaping thing.

Then... I found YOU GUYS here and followed to V4L. Placed my first kit order and upon my very first use, I am sold! The flavors are clean, the system is easy, the battery life (so far) is great. I have ONE more analog left and I am going 100% electronic.

Wish me luck!

Thanks,
peasu

Well I just got my order from V4L today and can't say enough good things about this company. After several emails that Val answered really quickly and completely everytime, and plenty of reading on here, I decided to make my own kit basically with a few batteries and a pcc and wall charger. Why V4L? I tried a coworker's blu and wasn't all that impressed especially the battery life. The V4L seemed to not have so many downfalls and quitting analogs just wasn't working with gums and patches. Long story short, I ordered on Thursday, everything arrived on Saturday, and after a few puffs on a 36mg clove I actually got a buzz. I love this thing already. I think I may have found my answer to help me quit the analogs. Thanks V4L.
