Come on, if you think this is a unnecessary feature (like you said that cigarette doesn't have it) then why many mods have this feature and Why Gen has 10 second cutoff time? I am sure your dozens of regulated mod have this feature but you do not know or you haven't explored! I do not know whether every mod has it or not but many models of Augvape, joyetech, Wismec, eleaf have this feature. But why we are debating!? I am just asking whether it is possible to add this nice feature on future firmware!

Never said it was an unnecessary feature, just stated it was not in high demand and the only device I’ve seen employ said feature was a DNA. The 10 second cut off found on the majority of devices is there to mitigate damage from accidently firing the device. It is not there to modulate ones intake.

According to Joytech, the Primo states “ For safety concerns, if you hold the fire button over a certain time, the device will shut down automatically… you're allowed to set the timeout duration from 5 to 10 seconds”. I guess that can be used to modulate ones intake, assuming your puff duration is between 5 and 10 seconds (what if you prefer a 4 second or lower puff?). But that documentation indicates to me that the feature was implemented to mitigate damage from accidental firing, not modulate ones intake.

Joytech, Wismec and Eleaf are all under the same parent company so naturally they will share features, just as they share the same microprocessor controller. Current Wismec devices that employ this adjustability enter a stand by mode should the 5, 10 or 15 second pre-set times be exceeded. Again, this indicates to me a feature to mitigate damage from accidental firing. Why would a device automatically enter standby, thus forcing a user to 3 or 5 clicks out of standby in order to vape, if the feature was meant to control ones intake?

You are welcome to ask for such a feature from Vaporesso, but I think @UncleEddy response is just logical.

I installed Arictic Fox firmware on Joyetech Mod some months ago, so it let me to set the cut off time from 1 second - 60 seconds, forgot what was before that but I think you are right. Btw, it does not force user to click 3 or 5 times to turn it on again ... it just cuts off ... if let go the fire button and then press it again, it will fire again, it will not turn off the device, same with Gen. Yes it can be used to control ones intake. Like CCW (Custom curve wattage) option meant to control ones intake, cut-off can be used for that too, specially with Temperature Control mode.

Hi @Vaporesso_Chelsea,

Is there any change there will be a firmware update for the Revenant Delta squonker to enable all the functions of the Omni 4 chip it has? Its very dissapointing to have feature rich board crippled by basic firmware.

Sorry for the off topic question, I've asked Revenant Vape the same thing but my email was totally ignored.

i had one vaporesso mod the revenger and that thing sucked this gen mod has me intrigued but i do not trust vaporesso products so i think i am gonna pass on this do not wanna get fooled again by this company

I have recently purchased a Vaporesso Gen and just wondering what aspects of the device you want cleared up so you aren't fooled again?

I am quite happy with my device - It is my first dual 18650 mod so I can't comment on battery but I know I charged it the day before yesterday and it is now lunch time, 35% remaining. It fires perfectly on both the included skrr-s tank (Handling 50-90 wattage no problem) and drops all the way down to 11-18 when I use my MTL Zenith tank.

I don't have any complaints with this mod so I'm interested to hear your concerns.

the battery life for one, and the durability and how it hits the revenger i had drained new batts in a few hours and hit weak and the battery meter looked really bad on the screen, i am reading good reviews tho i just may drop the ball and buy one today

This one is mainly for fixing the TC issues.
I am now trying out the new firmware with my preferred ss316l round wire using a blotto rta.
The gen now recognises this for smart tc [emoji3]
Could you tell me the recommended TCR for ss316l, I usually use around 092, is this correct for the gen as it was not the one installed in the factory settings?

I downloaded V1.3 and installed into both of my GEN's and am very pleased with the upgrade to the STC, I have tested it using SS mesh, SS round wire as well as SS Fused Claptons, and find that it is on track to what I would expect, all I needed to do was up the temp to what suited me.
Yes, the SS setting should be set at 92 in DIY mode, the actual TCR of SS wire is 0.00092 however for this device just enter 92.
