Rinsing with water is fine. It will not damage your o rings. The biggest hazard when rinsing with water for o rings is doing it under a blasting faucet and having one knocked off and going down the drain.
I agree Vaporesso do great devices i too have the Revenger X, the Polar and the Luxe and also have the E-Priv, the Polar get's my vote over the E-Priv but the Luxe is the best of the lot. E-Priv is a very good power mod though and most of what is said about Smok is from a deserved bad reputation from the past but during the last 12-18 months their devices have vastly improved. There was a thread a couple of days ago about someone asking if the Mag was a good device and it was just person after person saying how crap it was following like sheep yet i could tell by the comments their wasn't a mag owner between them so pure ignorance.Big Big fan of Vaporesso. I have the Revenger X and the Luxe for mods, both offer great performance. Staying with Vaporesso I have the NRG and Cascade tanks. I use the GT Mesh coils in both. While both deliver great flavor I definitely prefer the NRG. ThE cascade has a reservoir that prevents you from seeing how much juice is left and a couple extra pieces to clean.
You can't go wrong with Vaporesso but you can go way wrong with SMOK. Every manufacturer has bad runs, SMOK has more than the rest it appears. The only mod I ever had brick was SMOK Alien.
Go with Vaporesso
Yes agree very reliable chargers i have the i2 and with both me and the wife vaping it has had some use over 2 years and still going strong, the only negative with the i2 don't know if it's the same with the i4 putting 2x700 batteries is very tight fit.Nitecore has a good reputation – I personally have not heard anything bad about them. I own the i4 Intellicharger, no problems what so ever.
Your phrase "pure ignorance" is terribly offensive. As even you pointed out SMOK has a terrible reputation.I agree Vaporesso do great devices i too have the Revenger X, the Polar and the Luxe and also have the E-Priv, the Polar get's my vote over the E-Priv but the Luxe is the best of the lot. E-Priv is a very good power mod though and most of what is said about Smok is from a deserved bad reputation from the past but during the last 12-18 months their devices have vastly improved. There was a thread a couple of days ago about someone asking if the Mag was a good device and it was just person after person saying how crap it was following like sheep yet i could tell by the comments their wasn't a mag owner between them so pure ignorance.
I'll take your word for it.they are saying a device is rubbish without actually using it which is ignorance. I am not saying people shouldn't recommend devices they have good experience of my point is the answer should be i don't know i haven't got one so i would recommend x device or even i don't know but Smok have got a reputation for their devices not lasting is fine but that thread was people stating a device is rubbish when they don't know following like sheep. I would recommend Vaporesso over Smok but Smok devices are vastly improved and the Mag is actually a very good device.
My mate who runs a vape shop has had no issues with Smok products over the last 12 months, all though the only couple of Tesla products i have had have been fine the biggest issue he gets is tesla with doa devices and doors snapping after little use on the Punk devices.I'll take your word for it.
There are a lot of users who joined many years ago then seem to go dormant for a couple of years and come back with a story of how they haven't kept up, my ego twist just died, I need something new. See a post like that once a week. I also assume if they are asking about SMOK their industry knowledge isn't that deep. They stopped in their local B&M store and the guy behind the counter is pushing SMOK kits. It seemed obvious to quite few replying to the thread he just wasn't catching on, based on this I assumed his vaping knowledge was a bit limited or he was trolling. Maybe a bad assumption. My personal experience with SMOK has been less than stellar and I wasn't just going to give him the answer he wanted to hear. I gave the recommendation I was comfortable with. How was he a new user he has been a member on here since 2014
I've heard many good things about the cascade tank
Are you sure it's 100% leak proof?
It won't hurt anything as long as you let it dry. I've recently started using the grain alcohol method I seen on a Rip Trippers video. I tried it with some my shine and it worked so I stopped and bought some cheap vodka and ever-clear. The ever clear seems to do better than the vodka so I assume higher proof the better/quicker it works. You just take the coil out before you scorch it too awful bad and drop it into a little Dixie Cups or other small bathroom/mouthwash rinse cup (or anything small that is deep enough to completely cover the coil), and let it soak depending on the severity(thickness, stickiness) for anywhere from an hour too overnight. Swirl, shake, aggitate it every now and again if you have time and it the vodka gets too dark and cloudy it doesn't hurt to change it out for fresh clean alcohol. Should not need to unless you vape really sweet juices. Sometimes they leave an utter mess. My recently acquired illusion mini takes SuperTank(Atlantis Style) or Vaperresso Gt coils (and many other Smok tfv8 baby beast sized). So I've been rotating a set of each every few days I drop a set in and grab the cleaned set. Anyway after the soak rinse under the sink real well with hot water. Use the water pressure to flood water through the middle. Wrap a paper towel or toilet paper around and gently squeeze. If in a hurry I use my wife's hair dryer. But usually just toss on counter on paper towel. Some people say to use boiling water to rinse but I haven't found it nessesary. If your careful not to dry fire the cotton or ccell ceramic to much then they come out almost like new. You may lose a tiny bit of flavor purity but not enough to really bother you. I'm on round 5 cleaning and I'd say still 75-80% up to par. I guess the really long way of saying no water won't hurt anything. Just make sure you let everything dry before reassembly. O'rings are pretty resistant to most things. My wife boils her tanks like once a month to knock out old flavors and gunk. Seen them sit in a pot on almost high heat for ten minutes and she's never had a melted or warped one. Sorry bout getting off on a coil cleaning frenzy when your question was about tank/o'rings. I can say that Vaperresso is one of the top quality manufacturers in vaping. So you shouldn't worry too much about them. Other than coil changes, you will probably get tired of it and retire for something new before it waers out/breaks. Hope I was more help than confusingAnother question... I usually clean my tank with water before changing coils and e juice so the old flavor doesn't linger, is it okay to do so with the vaporesso tank? I'm a little worried the water will mess with the o rings
Here's how it looks like
It's not brunt or dirty, I can't get a picture up close but it's like a wireDue to the lighting it is difficult to see what you are referring to in your picture. There is an insulator surrounding the positive contact. Is that burnt or just dirty?
