Sounds like the guy below who started 2 or 3 different threads on the same day asking about SMOK mods. He received feedback that SMOK has a bad reputation for poor quality. Did he really think starting a new thread would result in a different response? There are a lot of users who joined many years ago then seem to go dormant for a couple of years and come back with a story of how they haven't kept up, my ego twist just died, I need something new. See a post like that once a week. I also assume if they are asking about smok their industry knowledge isn't that deep. They stopped in their local B&M store and the guy behind the counter is pushing smok kits. It seemed obvious to quite few replying to the thread he just wasn't catching on, based on this I assumed his vaping knowledge was a bit limited or he was trolling. Maybe a bad assumption. My personal experience with SMOK has been less than stellar and I wasn't just going to give him the answer he wanted to hear. I gave the recommendation I was comfortable with.
I've been one of the more outspoken individuals on this forum when the topic of SMOK comes up. Guilty as charged. The couple of SMOK mods that I have owned died within a couple of months use, so I learned pretty fast to avoid SMOK. That's personal experience.
I also worked in a vape shop in 2014 and we sold SMOK mods. The quality of SMOK mods sucked then. SMOK had a much higher return rate per item sold than any other company. SMOK didn't warranty their products, but as a shop we offered a short warranty anyway for customers. So for all of the returns we accepted for SMOK, we had to eat that expense and were not compensated by SMOK. That's also personal experience.
Based on the high number of negative threads seen here on ECF for the last few years from new SMOK owners, I don't see that SMOK has improved their quality control at all. You might get lucky if you buy one, but you are just as likely to be unlucky.
