I used to have a "night cap" alcoholic drink before bed when I smoked, it's strange, but after starting to vape my alcohol consumption has dropped off 99%.
If you vape juices with Ethyl Alcohol in them like I do, then you are getting your Alcohol Fix from your Vape. It goes straight to the brain via vaping. :D

Ethyl Alcohol is the same thing as Ethanol and Pure Grain Alcohol (PGA). Three different names for the same thing. This from a Chemist friend of mine.

Capt, from one Nutz to another you need to go back and edit your post to include the "#Vaping Changed My Life#" for the entry to count. Like this ---

#Vaping changed my life#

Vapers help other vapers, smokers are different.

I smoked for over 50 years. I was always jealous of people who didn't smoke.
I started vaping full time no smoking on July 8 2012.
I feel so much better. I recommend it to everyone with the stinky habit.

I remember watching some vape tutorials and videos before I started vaping and was a little loss with all the terminology(510, EGO, RDA, clearos etc.) and talk about ohms, voltage, resistance etc. I didn't realize at the time, but I was gonna have to learn a whole new language in order to vape. lol..... o_O

The ability to use different levels of nicotine is also a huge benefit--and having the ability to interact with the juice directly (rather than having it locked in a disposable cartridge) is also a must. When I first went to a local B&M, I noticed that they had 0, 12, and 24 levels available. "What if I wanted, say, 18 mg?" I asked. "We'll just add a 12 and a 24 together in one bottle."

That was both a "Duh!" and a "That's brilliant!" moment for me.

My bf and son pulled up next to a car at a red light today. All of a sudden, a massive cloud came rolling out of the window of the car next to them. My bf looked at my son and said "What the hell kind of cigarette is he smoking?" My son looked at him and said "Dude, are you serious, you live with someone heavy into vaping and you don't know what he's smoking, It's an e cig. Bf says "What?, I've never seen anything like that come out of her mouth, are you kidding me?"

lmaooo..... When my son told me the story he asked "Mom, don't you ever vape around him, I couldn't believe he didn't know what that was!"

Having been in Electronics since 1973, and later earning a BS in Electrical Engineering made vaping a natural interested for me, well beyond just getting off of cigarettes. :)

Let me know if you still have questions. I can probably help you get it into simple terms. :thumb: And if you understand algebra, then all the better.

So... do you? Inquiring minds want to know.

Personally, while my kids know that I vape, I don't really do it around them. In fact, I don't know whether or not they know what the difference is between smoking and vaping. Either way, they're too young to need to know those things.

I can't hunt bear anymore cause of smoking.I just cannot outrun my hunting partners anymore.;)

just in case anyone doesn't get "cough" it "cough"..

Two campers are walking through the woods when a huge brown bear suddenly appears in the clearing about 50 feet in front of them. The bear sees the campers and begins to head toward them. The first guys drops his backpack, digs out a pair of sneakers, and frantically begins to put them on. The second guys says, "What are you doing? Sneakers won’t help you outrun that bear." "I don't need to outrun the bear," the first guy says. "I just need to outrun you."
You so crayzeee!! :D

Well, I do vape around him and now I know just how much attention he's paying to me! Nah, I'm sure the clouds I blow are nothing like what he saw. But still...

Soooooo, about 8 months into my Vape Journey, I had been swearing up and down I'd NEVER sub-ohm or drip. Got some shinyitus and scored an Atomic RDA. Saw reviews and heard great comments on the little bugger.

Well, I was only really revving on a Vamo V6 as my "best" mod. Hmmmmmm. Needed MOAR POWER!!!!! Decided to jump to an iPV Mini (30W). Tried the Atomic - yeah, decent taste, but I hated having to constantly add more jooz.

First of this year, decided I *HAD* to have the iPV Mini 2 (70W) Wait, whuuuuut? I hadn't really grasped this "sub-ohm" concept yet, and was still only building single coils. Not quite getting it.....

iStick 50 was all the rage, so I grabbed one and within a week, grabbed an iStick 30. oooooooh, the Kanger Subtanks were starting to come out! MUST HAVE :D

In the mean time, my DIY bug launched full-force. VG, Flavors and Nic, OH MY!

BUT - I'd made it a YEAR without a cigarette!!!!!!!! Yeah, that's pretty cool.

I've revisited this "sub-ohm" philosophy, and the MOAR POWER thing. I now have Velocity RDAs, Bottom-feed mods and Temperature Control gear. I don't go crazy, but I have the means to change my style to suit my mood.

It's unreal how much I feel I've seen vaping technology change in the 20 months since I've quit smoking. The choices are virtually endless - it's all how YOU want to vape, so VAPE 'EM IF YOU GOT 'EM!!!!!

Thanks @Vera - love this thread!

Dang,I don't know how to "tag" someone to get here.Throw a rock though their screen.?
That, or you could type the "@" sign and then start typing their user name. A list of possible people will show up in a drop down and you can click on it or just type the whole user name. LIke this: @Ding :)
