Quick question for anyone who owns the new VF Classic: Is there space around your battery door that makes the door rattle incessantly? Maybe it's just mine, but after using it for a week I'm no longer happy with it. Rattling battery doors are not what I'd expect on a mod in this price range, especially if VF expects to maintain their reputation while selling cheaper products.

Thanks,
Treeburner
Give them a call. The support and cs is outstanding. I had an issue with the stout and they did an exchange.

Got my replacement black Stout back last Monday, it's working great, my go-to mod now. I'm getting a full day (20ml+ of juice) out of the Basen 4500mAh batteries, vaping at 40w/520F on a 0.17ohm 26g Ti01 dual coil build in a Bellus. In reality, it's got about the same functional battery life as my dual-18650 Flasks, in a more portable package.
Those Basen are the best performing batteries I've found for the stout, def better than the green efest anyway, those won't even fire over 65w 0.4ohm..

I'm trying to decide on a single 18650 mod, and I'm particularly looking a build quality. Temp control is a must, I can't decide between the eVic mini and the Vape Forward Lite. Is there any advice you can give me? Is there another mod I should be considering also?
Build quality on a single 18650? You would be hard pressed to find a better mod than the SX Mini. The M class is the older model. The ML Class is the newer one. Build quality on these two models is real tough to beat.

Right behind you...

Between the Lite and the VTC Mini, I'd have to lean towards the Mini. Half the price, far better display, uses essentially the same electronics, with the same materials made by the same people. While the customer support with the Lite will be much, much better, and the ergonomics are slightly better, that price difference is a bit hard to justify.

Moving up to the Stout, the price increase is a bit easier to swallow, due to its increased flexibility (18650 or 26650, more wattage), and I think that the ergos on the Stout are superior to the VTC Mini or Lite.

Finally, the Classic is a poor choice...not because it's a bad device, but because the Joyetech also released the Cuboid and the iStick TC100, once again at roughly half the price.

I heard that eLeaf just updated the firmware on iStick to support 120 watts. It's tempting to get one of those, looks comfortable to hold. The question is, is it as good as Evic mini on the go?

I have a Cuboid, RX, and a Classic. I use the Classic all the time and it's quickly become my favorite mod even though I have two others with the same exact chip. In your comparison you are really discounting the form factor. People buy flask like mods for the fit and feel. I know I did. This is my third flask mod and I just love the pocket friendliness and the way it feels in your hand. Those were the main selling points to me.

How is the 510 in the Classic? I really enjoy my RX200 and its feel and chip but the 510 leaves a lot to be desired. I've always wanted a Flask because it seems like it'd fit well in the hand and I think it's very appealing looks-wise.
if the pin is anything like the pin in the Vapor Shark version of the vaporflask. which i'm betting is, the same one. then it's great, no issues!

I said same thing (with more elaboration) on the Evic mini Thread,,,,
I own a VFStout and an Evic mini. Love them both but for differing reasons and purposes.
I consider neither to be truly superior or inferior (all things considered) to the other.
They are not truly "Competitors". They hail from different "Leagues".

P.s. The 510 on the VSF is as one would imagine.... Rock Solid & as rightfully expected.

No issues at all with my Classic. I really wanted a SX Flask because I love the chip but man I wasn't gonna spend almost 3 bills on a mod. That being said the Classic is my favorite flask out of the ones I have owned. No other mod feels better in your hand. The 510 is beautiful with no issues and even if there is an issue VF'S customer service is second to none.

why do you say that? kinda make sense to me? they look identical... but ur probably right, who knows...
I read somewhere that Vape Forward tried to keep the build quality the same with the new Wismec based flask, so your assumption is not without merit.

Actually, the 510 (other than the signature VF look) has the same issues as the rest of the Wismec/Joyetech line...weak(ish) spring and not a lot of travel, not nearly as nice as my DNA40 Flask (but not horrible either).
interesting.... my DNA40 flask has a great spring. I would like to think they would use one of the same quality but maybe not hey...
