Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has any experience dealing with this company? Their advertisements appear frequently on this forum, which is where I found them in the first place. I ordered a Starter Kit on April 20th and recieved an automatic confirmation email. When I replied to that email to thank them for the confirmation email I had a breif discussion with "Donovan" about my order. He advised me it would take 5-10 days for my order to be processed. I told him this was fine.

Unfortunately, it is now May 05 and 15 days have passed since my order. I have not received any tracking number or confirmation that my order has been shipped. I have repeatedly attempted to contact Vaporlites and Donovan with no luck whatsoever. The website offers Free Live Support Chat which is always offline when I try to access it. I have left a couple messages at Live Support Chat with no response. I have tried to contact Vaporlites through several of their email accounts, I have tried contacting Donovan on Myspace, Facebook, Vaportalk Forum via PM, Yahoo and AIM. I have received absolutely no response. There is no Phone Number to contact on Vaporlites.com. The WHOIS for Vaporlites.com is hidden by Private Domain Group so I cannot find any contact information there either.

If I do recieve my order or any response soon I will have to contact my creditcard company to reverse the charges. I don't really want to do this as I want to remedy this but if I cannot contact the vendor I really don't know what else to do. The website claims that Customer Service is available almost 24/7:

"Contact us with any question or idea you may have, almost 24/7. You may receive an answer in as little as minutes! If we don't know the answer, we'll find out for you."

Please if anyone has any information about their past dealings with this Company please let me know. Also, if anyone knows how I can contact this vendor and actually recieve a response I would be forever grateful. My wife suffers from severe migraines from the smell of cigarettes so it is very important that I get my ecig soon. I don't want to give my wife migraines anymore. I also ordered some eliquid to use and I want to get my ecig soon before the expiry date.

instead of MYOB...where are you located? We can better help you that way

you might as well cancel that transaction with your bank and buy from a APPROVED supplier on the forums. Those ads are just google ads that help keep the site running, I highly recommend finding another supplier. Cignot or vapor4life are both good choices...as well as many others. You'll prob get your order in 3-5 days if you live in the US..Good luck

He assumed it was taking a while because he's in Canada, but now i'm thinkin that there might be a larger issue..

I am also located in Canada (Alberta). The issue for me isn't so much the shipping time, it's mostly because I had no problem receiving a response from him earlier (before and immediately following my order) but now that it has been 5-10 days and my order is supposed to have been shipped I can't get ahold of him. So it's either something happened that delayed my order and has kept him from getting to his computer or I am being scammed. I would feel much better if I could simply get a response to my inquiry or a tracking number of some sort.

JUST AN UPDATE;

I sent Donovan a sales question from a different email (pretending to be an interested potential customer) and I received a response within 4 hours. So it seems to me now that he is either ignoring my emails or he is being filtered by my spam filter. I highly doubt the second option as I had no problem recieving his emails before.

This is highly suspicuous. I responded to this email detailing who I was and asking why he won't respond to my emails. If I do not recieve a response I will definitely cancel these charges. I will continue to update this thread as needed.

I too am going through this EXACT process. My order was in mid april and nothing has arrived, I have been trying the past 10 days or so to get this guy to respond. His stupid chat windows dont do anything, there are no numbers to call, he doesnt respond to ANY of the emails I send, I even PM'd him on a different forum and he isnt responding but he has made posts in the past couple of days without PMing me back... WTF.

well in his user agreement it says something about Indiana, but when I looked up his domain name it comes back as this..

Registrant:
Domain Privacy Group, Inc.
c/o vaporlites.com,
7030 Woodbine Ave. Suite 800
Markham, ON L3R 6G2
CA

Yea, seems as though the person set the domain up as a private listing and is going through the "Domain Privacy Group" to hide his/her personal information...

Same problem here. I cannot get a response to three e-mails. Order placed two weeks ago... I gave the wrong expiration on my CC and Donovan was back to me instantly. My card was charged on the spot. Now I can't reach him. In my business I don't charge a card until the product is ready to ship. And I certainly answer every e-mail ASAP.

For the record, I heard back from Donovan from Vaporlites today. He's having problems with his supplier and will get back to me ASAP with an expected delivery date. Will let you know how it goes...

I would be careful, credit card companies usually only give you 30 days to file a dispute, if its already been 2 weeks since it was charged, give about 1 week to ship...then there is no telling when he is "supposedly" going to get his shipment in from his supplier.

Personally, I would get a refund now, and just get your stuff elsewhere. It would be a lot less of a hassle.

Imho it is very bad practice to have on the site something is available when it isn't. If he is waiting on his supplier, he needs to state that at a minimum.
And honestly if it's not in stock it should show it on the site as out of stock, that would infuriate me to no end.
Bad practice to sell what you don't have without at least a warning.

I would cancel my order if i were you. sounds too shady. Its also weird that they won't sell you juice or parts unless you buy their full kit from them first. too many red flags in my opinion. and the biggest one is that the guy won't respond to those who have already placed orders but when i asked about the parts just a few minutes ago, i got a response ASAP. looks like he just wants the cash with you getting scammed.

Okay, here's the update as promised. Sorry it has taken so long.
Donovan did reply to my last email after I had pretty much tricked him into replying by pretending to be an interested customer asking questions. I confronted him and his reply (sent on May 6, 2010) is as follows:

Our supplier did not ship on time and has made my parts, orders, and several things late
It is not your fault, and it is not fair.

I will say this. I am not withholding or trying to steal anyones payment or order.
I apologize for not replying sooner, I myself have been going through some very time-consuming
adjustments that have taken me away from responding to emails and hurting the operation.

I will however keep you informed. Please let me know if there is any changes.

Donovan P.

VaporLites -Your Smoking Alternative.

So it is now May 15, no updates, nothing. Almost a month since the date of my order. I have called my Credit Card Company and they have advised me that their policy is to wait 30 days from the original purchase date to initiate a dispute. So I will have to call them back on the 22nd of May since that is a month from when he charged my CC. Then I can initiate a dispute and he will have 30 days to prove, through an unbiased third party (tracking number of some sort), that I have received my order. My creditcard company also told me that vaporlites is somewhere in Indiana. However, they provided me with a phone number which accourding to whitepages.com is a cell phone in Detroit, MI. Anyone having problems with this company who is unable to get this information from their creditcard company can feel free to contact me and I will provide it for them.

I just sent him another email asking for an update on the issue and inquiring on whether my package will be sent by the 22nd. If not, I have asked him to refund my money as I am sure (if he really is legit) that we both would rather the CC company not get involved. If he does not provide me with a tracking number or a refund by the 22nd I will be initiating a dispute.

I will be updating you all as information comes in. I am also updating a thread in Vapers Forum, so you can all check there as well if you are interested as I may update that first.

Thanks for all your help.

The thread in Vapors forum is here:

Update on Vaporlites:

Last Thursday I received a message from Donovan saying the orders had finally come in and "they were sorting them and would ship soon." I advised him to ship mine immediately with a tracking number for shipment or I would do the chargeback on Monday. I gave him one day's grace and have not received the order so the chargeback is in the works. I checked his site again tonight and it is down. Live and learn.

Yeah that really sucks. I will say it straight up, Donovan from Vaporlites.com is a CROOK!
i really hope everyone got their money back or will get it back that ordered from that loser. There were a few post on this forum that praised vaporlites and i'm thinking they were frauds to con others into going to the site. such a shame this loser got away with this. Karma is a ....., he'll get his.
