Vapors Nod? Secret Handshake?

I see other vapors in public all the time. I always want to go over and say hi and ask what they're vaping, what juice, what's your set-up, etc. etc. The only time I've actually done this I asked this guy what he was vaping, he told me it was a mai tai flavor and walked away. He didn't seem interested in discussing it.

When you see other vapors do you start up a conversation with them about vaping? Or not? Do you give them a nod? Do you ignore them? Do you care?

Is it just me? I really want to know what others are vaping and check out their gear! I'm not a stalker. I'm not!

Most times i don't think people like being stopped for that kind of things, i personally don't because i don't really like it but most times they're smokers asking me about the industry how it works etc. I answer to those the best i can and reffer them to my vape shop, and that same vape shop is also the spot i'd usually go to talk about that kind of stuff since there's alot of people that come and go and most i've seen really like talking about it. I think your situation is more of a subjective thing not everyone wants to talk about it but most of us here at ecf are here to do just that (ie talking about setups,juices and all) i've got 1 friend who vapes and to who i talk with about vaping from time to time but that's about it outside of vape shops.

Edit: should probably add that i try to give a cheer to every vaper i see on the streets some give me funny looks other answer to my call with either a nod or a cheer

The only time I open up a conversation with another vaper is if we're both vaping in the same place, typically in the smoking area outside a bar or restaurant. The last time that happened, I showed my low wattage MTL setup to a guy older than me and he popped open his RDA to show me his wild coils. Two vapers, nothing else in common lol.

I often just shout, "hey, another vaper!" And then compare set-ups. I'm always thrilled to see a vaper "in the wild" [emoji38]

Depends where you live. In NY they would probably ask me if I had any extra juice with me for them to vape. [emoji102]

I run into vapers all the time and the usual thing I do is a toast with my MOD if I haven't already gotten toasted by them and many times a conversation is struck up because of the MOD I am carrying. In traffic at a light I have had some people blow a serious cloud out the window towards my direction or they fogged out the inside of their car and people are blowing the horn behind them because they can't see the green light.

I gave a guy some of my Tobacco DIV when I was at the park because he said it smelled so nice! After he tried it he wanted me to to sell it to him! I gave him the Liquid Barn Suggestion though.

I do think a tip of the vape and a smile is the universal vaper greeting.

What happens after that, be it a fistfight or a wedding, is up to the vapers...

I always go with the "mod nod" and a smile when I see other vapers. Some people like to chat, others... not so much.

I generally do the lift the mod and tilt it toward them.

One time I was at a light and a car next to me honked. I look over and the driver shows his mod and does the thumbs up. As the light changes, I look over again and the little twerp is sucking on a cig.

Hope he's just in transition.

I talked to one bloke about it and a few people in B&M but welll. Things like this kind of bug me, my friend drove a beetle and all other beetle drivers would flash their lights at him like ooh snap we are in the same club. Same with a friend who drove a mini. Only as of the last couple of months I've seen a few vapers in the wild. None of them are interested in comparing set ups or e-juice.

I think we are just a weird lot here on the forums. We are all really into it! Others don't seem to be so much....

You should keep a pat of butter on you at all times. When you see a vaper, pretend to cough it up and then repeatedly yell, "Oh my God! Popcorn Lung! Popcorn Lung! Oh my God!"
