3. If you are an experienced TC vaper, let us know what TC devices you have; If not, let us know which TC device is in your vape wish list

Right now I only have 2 eVic VT mods. One in yellow with the black stripe and one in black with the red stripe. Hopefully I will have 3 TC mods after this contest! lol

All i have is a Evic VT and i love it!

3. If you are an experienced TC vaper, let us know what TC devices you have; If not, let us know which TC device is in your vape wish list

My TC devices:
Smok XCube II
eVic VT 60
eVic VTC (2)
Cloupor Mini Plus (2)
Target VTC
Istick Pico (2)
UD Balrog
Artery Nugget (haven't set this up yet)
Movekin Luggy VT60
Koopor Plus
Istick 40 watt TC
Istick 100 watt TC (2)

I'm still experimenting/learning how I can use TC for my perfect vape. Mostly, I use SS and Kanthal with vw mode, even with my TC devices. I know this well and can quickly set up something that's perfect for me. Sometimes that gets boring and I switch over to TC. I like tinkering around with the settings and trying out different builds, rtas, drippers, etc on them. Each one of my devices is unique in how it handles TC, even with the same coil and using the same settings. I'm interested in seeing how this vapor-sensing technology compares.

I hope this device gets marketed before the regulations go into effect. :(

4. To use a TC device, what kind of vape stuff you need, like the material of the wire, the rebuid tools, ohm reader, etc.

I use titanium and stainless steel wire (UD TA1 and SS 316L, 26 and 28 gauge of each) I don't care for nickel. Cotton and rayon for wicking.

Tools:
A 6 inch length of coat hanger wire, tiny screwdrivers and other things I've repurposed to wrap coils on. Various hemostats and a c-clamp to hold wire tight for tensioned micro coils. I don't have a coiler or an ohm reader. I use one of my Isticks to read resistance. The usual... tiny scissors, tweezers, nail clippers, and needle-nose pliers make up the rest of my kit for coiling. It's a random assortment of junk that works well for me. :)

I am not experienced at all but do have an Istick and a Cloupor Mini that support TC. But I have not used TC on either. Would love to try the Vaptio 150 to gain some knowledge and experience.

@AlmightyEvan
Just wondering about the new technology in the new Vaptio device. I'm curious as to how the secondary temp sensor is incorporated. Is it an RTD that has been mounted into the chimney?

I assume that the new 3-pin system is for data transfer from the sensor to the chip. Does that mean that the mod section would not work with other standard 510 atomizers? Would the Vaptio atomizer work in standard mode on a standard 510 mod? I'm very interested in this new device and technology. It seems that there are many directions that this could take the future of vaping. :)

As always, thank you very much for your time and consideration. Also, thank you for giving us yet another wonderful opportunity and contest. You and HeavenGifts continue to impress me with your generosity and wonderful customer service!

The sensor far as I can tell is in the coils.

The device can be used with regular 510 atomizers.

My wire of choice these days are almost exclusively SS316L. Never tried nickel and don't really want to - some say it's bad for you, some say it's not - since there are (better) alternatives, I just choose to avoid nickel. Before stainless steel became mainstream, I used to vape on Ti coils, but SS are just SO much better, if you're lazy like me. Since you don't have to worry about dryburning your coils, I build only when I feel like it/get new tank, heh. The rest of the time I just burn off the burnt juice, rinse the coil and call it a day.

An ohm reader is nice to have, especially when you're just startin out. Once you get a hang of it and figure out your "go to" builds, I find myself checking the coils on an ohm reader less and less. I am thinking about getting a Geektab 521 for the ability to fire the coils, in order to compact them and make sure they burn nice and evenly.

For the coild building, well, that depends what I want to build. If it's a plain build, or something like dual paralell, I just use my coil winder from Kuro Concepts (UD and Coil Master clone). Now that is one handy little thing! I started out building on drill/screwdriver bits and, sure, it's not too much of a hassle, but with these coild jigs/winders, making perfect coils every damn time is as easy as counting to three!

That's about it!
Good luck and have fun everyone!

Maybe... but that wouldn't give a very accurate reading of the vapor temperature. If the sensor is that close to the coil, then it will measure radiant heat from the coil and give a false reading of "vapor temperature".

Have you seen if there is an RBA head for the included tank? I can't seem to find a whole lot of info on this yet...

We aren't measuring vapor temperatures AFAIK, we are measuring coil temperatures. At least that's the way it appears to me, the coil could be the power carrier to a sensor in the chimney though.

I haven't seen or heard of an RBA but the stock coils seen to be somewhat rebuildable.
