@AlmightyEvan
Just wondering about the new technology in the new Vaptio device. I'm curious as to how the secondary temp sensor is incorporated. Is it an RTD that has been mounted into the chimney?

I assume that the new 3-pin system is for data transfer from the sensor to the chip. Does that mean that the mod section would not work with other standard 510 atomizers? Would the Vaptio atomizer work in standard mode on a standard 510 mod? I'm very interested in this new device and technology. It seems that there are many directions that this could take the future of vaping. :)

As always, thank you very much for your time and consideration. Also, thank you for giving us yet another wonderful opportunity and contest. You and HeavenGifts continue to impress me with your generosity and wonderful customer service!

Marked, hopefully our winners will tell us ;)....that would be more interesting...besides, I forwarded the RBA coil requirement to Vaptio.

Guys, here is the thing I share with you. Vaptio might be a new brand to you guys, but as far as I know, they used to be an OEM manufacturer, they have experience in this area. This beta test contest would be a good opportunity for all vapers to bring suggestion to manufacturer. There would not much vendor like HG to do such a contest. So I personally hope you could join and follow this contest whether you're interested in this device or not. This is one big move good for our vape community. :)

    3. The TC devices I presently have are the iStick 100, RXDNA 200, a limited wire TC Snow Wolf 200 v.1.5 and a IPV D3 TC. Although I have these devices my knowledge of temperature control is not what I'd like it to be, I don't have the time to learn, execute and be a user of TC at this time.

    4. To my knowledge you would need various types of wire, including Titanium, Nickel & Stainless Steel. You would also have to wrap your coils according to the watts you plan to vape at and know/use Ohms Law. This would require an ohm meter and some building tools such as jig kit, wire cutters, needle nose pliers and a couple of screwdrivers.

Thank you, Evan. I am very interested to hear how they did this and learn how the new sensor and ATC works. Hopefully the winners will report back with all of the wonderful details. And, thank you for forwarding along the desire for a RBA head for the atomizer!

    4. To use a TC device, what kind of vape stuff you need, like the material of the wire, the rebuid tools, ohm reader, etc
To my understanding the tools are the same as for non Tc coils - ohm reader, wire, mandrel or something to wrap coils on, rayon or cotton, clippers, etc. What is different is the type of wire used - TC requires nickle, stainless steel, or titanium wire instead of kanthal.

I'm gonna watch for now, its really busy for us right now with four gardens going, I don't have a lot of internet time.
I'd love to be a tester, as I have a couple different mods that work with all coils to compare with.
    Thanks for the consideration :)

    Is this Mike vapes?

Bwahaha, thanks? You just made my day, good sir. Have a like!
I'm far from any of the top Youtube vapers/reviewers. Both in terms of hardware owned and experience, haha!

Which, I guess, brings us to another entry in the contest.

    No. 5
Koopor Mini - Lost in taxi (don't ask, haha)
SMOK X Cube II - Home use only, rarely used for TC though
iStick TC40W - given away to a friend
eVic-VTC Mini - my daily driver when I'm out and about
...I rather spend my money on tanks, than mods.

    Wish list:
Something fancy - Dani Extreme V2+ by dicodes, or a DNA75/200, ooooor an SX Mini... :)

    3. If you are an experienced TC vaper, let us know what TC devices you have; If not, let us know which TC device is in your vape wish list

I have the Cloupor Mini+, eVic VTC Mini, and iStick Pico as TC devices (I even have a VaporFlask Squonk clone that can handle TC!)

I currently have Ni wire, and I even have some SS wire that I can use on the VTC and Pico. I have TC coils for my eGo ONE tanks and Ni200 coils for my Nautilus tanks. For rebuilding, ABSOLUTELY have an ohmmeter. Simple drill bits and a mandrel for winding. Cotton and Rayon for wick....

    5. Do you know TCR (temperature coefficient of resistance) before? If you do, share the sheets of TCR you knew; If not, simply reply with “Not yet”

Not yet - I haven't spent a lot of time studying this, but I think it would be something helpful to know.

    Thanks again for the contest!!!!

Not yet. The resistance-change factor per degree Celsius of temperature change is called the temperature coefficient of resistance. But I do not understand what these means in affecting the vape experience.

In the most basic terms, the mod uses the coil as an RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector; these are used in MANY temp reading devices). Certain wires increase in resistance as they are heated. That increase is a known variable by wire type. If you plug in the known variable (the TCR that your mod uses), then you know exactly what temperature your coil is reaching. You can then add in an additional bit to the circuit and firmware to control the temperature by limiting and varying the wattage. The power will fluctuate to maintain the desired temperature. If you'd like to get into this further, feel free to PM me and I'd be more than happy to help you understand more about how this all works. :)
