Thanks – just to clarify, we are talking about the Wismec Surface you linked on the first page? Where is the USB port? Although FT advertises one for charging, Wismec states batteries have to be charged in a battery charger and no mention of USB in their marketing or manuals.

I've just watched a couple of reviews and it seems you're right...no USB port. More dodgy FT descriptions I guess.

It won't bother me much but I might take the plate off over the chip to see what's inside It's just possible that the USB port is lurking in there. Thanks for the link to the thread by the way...useful.

I bought it because of its size....it's a very pretty little mod although i'm thinking about how I can resin paint the panels. They do 4 different types and I didn't like any.

Guess that’s a possibility. Strange but possible.

As for the AF Firmware. Arctic Fox supports a certain type of board (Nuvoton based). If the Surface employs such board, then the FW is compatible. However, one needs a USB stack in order to load it. Unless they are extremely creative and develop some other form of communicating with the device. But that said, NFE Tools needs to match the Bootloader of the device in order to load the correct firmware through a user selected dropdown menu – I do not see the xml definition for the Surface within latest NFE tools.

Given its size and relative low cost, I am somewhat interested in this device as a on the go vape. USB or lack of, is not a deal breaker for me, but would be nice to know.

Yes I agree, that's why I have one coming. USB not a deal breaker for me either. I was looking at them with interest and then I saw one in the flesh at a local vape shop and that was me sold...I certainlt don't think i'll regret my desicion

There isn’t one. Unless it is behind the metal plate, but there is no mention of this anywhere on the internwebs. @charlie1465 has one in the mail, perhaps he is willing to remove the plate and confirm.

I have two Luxotic, the original BF and a Surface, neither have USB, love them both.
