I am somewhat new to building and I have a question. Do you guys find that it is a much harsher vape on an RDA vs prebuilt? For instance... I currently am runnin crown tanks on .5 coils at around 40 watts. It is just plain delicious and smooth. I have messed around with a few .5 dual coils builds. For instance... a 8 wrap 27g 2mm Kanthal, 5 wrap 28g 3mm Kanthal, and a 8 wrap 26g 2mm Kanthal. I find that at the same wattage or even down to around 25 watts it is just a much harsher vape. Is that just normal for RDA? It is something I have to get used to? I would love to be able to get that same smooth delicious vape from rebuilding because I love to build. I also started dripping so that I can try different juices without having to fill a tank. But what am I doing wrong or what could I do stop from getting such harsh hits. Here is a pic of my current build. 5 wrap 28g 2.5 mm

Harshness (in my experience) is usually associated with hot spots or hot legs on your coils. When you build, do you tweak you coils and verify that they glow evenly from the center outward and that the legs do not glow and that there are no spots that burn/glow 'brighter' than others?

PS the coils in your pic have some super long legs that shoot out from the main 'coil body' - that's a prime risk for hot leg.
