Very concerned about my new order

Ok, so I ordered a new tenergy charger and 4 new RCR123a batts because the charger that came with my Prodigy was a little messed up (bad prong)... arrived today.

SUPER fast shipping, thanks guys.

I toss in a set of my older batts, they charge totally fine, then I charge up 2 of the 4 new batts and I hear the charger making a high-pitched buzz or humming sound. It's faint, but you can hear it. I figure I'll let it go, but keep an eye on it.

Now the LED went from red to yellow. NEVER saw yellow before, only red and green.

Should I be concerned?

the buzzing is probably the transformer inside the charger.

My light goes, red to yellow, to green everytime..

Maybe you never noticed the yellow, it doesnt stay on for long. =)

yeah I noticed mine go red yellow then green a few times, but haven't caught it often.

by yellow do you mean orange maybe? mine looks a little orange sometimes. seems like it does when one of the batts isn't seated perfectly, and if i fiddle with them it will go back to red or pop to green.

What you hear is a capacitor(sp) charging and discharging. I can hear mine everytime I charge any of my batts. It's been doing it for months, it is not an issue.

Mine does it every now and then. It seems like the new 123's take a while to charge.
They also geta little warm the first few times I charge them, then they seem to break in or something.
For me the new 18650's charge faster outta the box. Thay may come with a higher holding charge.
The 14500's took forever to charge the first time (considering how small they are).

When they release the new dark matter powered, Ion drive V2 unit (here in a couple of weeks) we wont have to go throguh this anymore.

Thanks guys. All seems ot be fine, just never heard any buzzing before, nor had I seen an orange LED before, but they are going to green and all batts work.

To be honest with you, they actually go from red to orange to yellowish green to green.

ditto.. orange light every time.. I have my charger sitting where I can see it and I always know when they are almost done by the orange light.
