Hello Tomas, for some people max VG is more difficult to vape, if it's giving you some problems then increase your PG. Try a 50/50 PG/VG mix and go from there.. sometimes you just need a 70VG/30pg mix for it to be easier on your lungs.

Everyone is different.

I think the symptoms would be more immediate than the next day. However, here are some of my experience.

I have COPD. Too much VG gives me heavy lung feeling...phlegm. I have to keep it at about 20%vg/80%pg. I vape unflavored mostly.I also use older MTL devices.

My wife however is sensitive to PG. She vapes 95%VG/5% distilled water in a dark tobacco flavor.

Also, flavorings can be the culprit. You may have to start with unflavored and rule things ot.

Hi @Tomas_Cobain

We were all worried about you. You abandoned the old thread you started.

You might be VG sensitive too, but definitely don't vape pure VG I think it might not be feeding through your devices wicks. You could be vaping cotton.

hello how are you!, yesterday i vape 75/25 pg/vg and the asthma was and it is terrible right now, i think im very sensitive to pg, i think the vg it doesnt give me so much short of breathe, however when i vape the last week vg+some flavours it gave me asthma, (i dont know how much % of flavours i can tolerate, i think its a little bit or nothing, here in Argentina doesnt exist flavours only vg, im thinking to not vape anymore, i think this is not for my health unfortunately :(

I agree with Grimwald. I'd expect to see symptoms a lot sooner if you were reacting to the VG.

About flavours, I react even to very small amounts of some and not at all to others. It all depends on the flavour.

You may be right that vaping just isn't for you. It isn't common, but there are some people it just doesn't work for no matter what you try. I'm awfully sorry if that's the case.

Radical idea: If boiling VG/PG gives you problems with your lungs, why not try evaporating a water/nic/flavor liquid with the help of an ultrasonic device?

You could either use an ultrasonic ecig like this one

or you could use a regular humidifier like this one

or even a tiny USB powered device like this

When there is a will, there is a way.

Hello to everyone, yesterday i vape only vg vg to research what is te component that gives me this problem, i did three hits and the next day (today) appears the symptoms, short of breathe, anyone is troubling with the same problems that i have? And how do you solve it? Thanks for reading me, kisses.
Well it’s clear that you have some sort of lung problems. The causality is pretty assumptive though

There have been discussions here before, about people reporting shortness of breath or a ‘coated lung’ feeling when vaping (I’m one of them). Some are just sensitive to one of the ingredients (pg, VG, sweeteners, anything...), you can easily test that by buying a bunch of samples of different juices. Personally, I ‘learned’ to vape without inhaling: apparently the nic is absorbed either way (through the mouth), and I don’t have any problems anymore. Try it. (But first make sure you’re not sensitive to anything, not inhaling won’t solve that)

Maybe something like juul, where the nic content is so high, you only need a couple of puffs?

Vaperer, I also have Asthma.

And I also vape, it's a little better than smoking.

But with Asthma, if something irritates it you'll know immediately, not the next day. So it seems as though the issue lies elsewhere, and the only way to resolve it is to get all relevant information.

For example, if you vape at 300 watts I'd expect your lungs to seriously protest and let you know about it and until you lowered the watts the problems would continue.

I didn't see a wattage rating in the original post. If it's high, then reducing it to MTL low power mode might solve the problem. 10W to 20W is in the range that could mimic a cigarette without causing so much lung and throat irritation. Juice quantity would drop and I suppose that the lung irritation would resolve, too.

You also don't have to inhale to get the nic. Most of the nic is absorbed through the mouth and nose tissue. It's possible to inhale just enough to get vapor into the throat and then exhale through the nose, where nic is absorbed readily.

DaveP, that's the kind of information we need to help narrow down what may be causing the OP's issue. Because without it we're working in the dark.

I personally am using TCR mode on a Vaporesso Luxe kit with Skrr tank and GT CCell coils.

TCR set at 88, 30 Watts and temp at 250°C. Nice cool vape with decent flavour, and no issues with lungs.
