vgod Pro Mech 2 Battery

Hi ,
Recently I bought a vgod pro mech 2 kit , I made a coil bulider at the retail shop build me a .15 coil and I am using sony vtc5 battery and Hohmtech’s hilife battery rated 20.7A CDR is the latter safe to use with a mech mod ? Since i was using it with my old vaporesso revenger x kit ?

No. Even at just the batteries nominal voltage of 3.7 Volts, that build will pull nearly 25 Amps. Over the 20.7 Amp CDR listed.

Learn to use an Ohm's Law calculator to find the "amp draw" of a coil. Explain it to the Dumb Noob: Ohm's Law Calculations for a Mechanical Mod

Learn how to find out your battery's true amp limit. Battery Mooch's Complete List of Battery Tests

Bottom line: Never exceed the amp draw of your coil.

Sony VTC5 2500mAh 18650 Retest Results...a great 20A 2600mAh battery
HohmLife 36.3A 3077mAh 18650 Bench Test Results...only a 20A- battery but a great one, equal to HG2

A 0.15 ohm coil will have an amp draw of 28 amps, which is OVER the amp limit of both of your batteries.

Increase your coil's resistance to 0.22 ohms and the amp draw becomes 19 amps.

The 0.15 ohm coil and its 28 amp draw is still over the amp limit of the VTC5A.

Using the VTC5A and a 0.15 ohm coil you are still over the amp limit.
