Just finished listening to all the speakers you linked us to.
The high school teacher did a great job summing up his personal ecig journey. Very "educational" which isn't surprising.
Father Jack's recording was garbled, I had a hard time understanding all of what he said, but his credentials alone were impressive!
Less than impressive was the next speaker. Clearly he was local, and from the way he introduced himself, he seems to be a member of ACS but not an official representative. When he read from/quoted the ACS storybook, his voice and presentation was fairly steady, but when he spoke for himself, it was clear to me at least that he is not an experienced speaker, and not very well spoken or knowledgeable.
And you, Mr. Tom, put him down quite beautifully! You made very good points, and your passion came through loud and clear. Well done!
The sherrif spoke as a law enforcement officer. Clear, concise. Actually this is the first time I've heard confirmation of the lack of evidence (from the legal perspective) of ecigs being used as drug paraphernalia.
The comments by the council members were hopeful, though I was a bit surprised about the "should we be thinking about the children?" comment, which was nowhere mentioned in the ordinance language. I'm going to write them again with some links to info on how ecigs have not been shown to "entice" children to nicotine.
