i recently purchased this e-cig kit eGo K Vision Compact Kit.jpg when the kit came in i charged it filled up my clearomizer and screw it onto the battery didnt work so i heard you can pull out the center pin in the clearomizer slighly. took me a few tries but it started working so about 3 days later i dropped my pv and the clearomizer stopped working. its not cracked or anything but it will not work. i tried to pull the center pin out 20 times doesnt work. can someone explain how to troubleshoot this problem? i ordered another clearomizer but i would love to vape untill it got delivered. any suggestions?

Ditch clearomizers altogether. I've had three, and all failed epically through no fault of my own. They don't work very well.

Also, all my coworkers who got kits with clearomizers eventually had problems with them, too. So lately a lot of us have switched to dripping with attys.

could you recomend some good atomizer for my ego battery? what do you mean "dripping with attys" and is the atomizer the only thing ill need to get?

By "dripping with attys" I meant, I drip 3 to 4 drops of my ejuice directly into my atomizer.

Lots of people feel this is the best way to taste your juice fully and get more vapor production. The only drawback is, you have to keep dripping constantly throughout the day. There's no "fill and forget" option with dripping.

Do a search for 510 LR (low resistance) Atomizers. Joyetech and Boge are pretty good name brands.

For dripping with your eGo, you'll need (1) a LR atomizer, (2) a drip tip, and (3) a cone that "covers" your atomizer and protects it.

For the atomizer, check this out: Joye atomizer for 510 or EGO (Standard or Low Resistance) - $5.99 : Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce

For the cone, check this out: eGo Cone - The VaporCast Store

For the drip tip, check this out: Drip Tips.

With the drip tip, BE SURE IT WILL FIT A 510 EGO BATTERY!

Once you have these components, you screw the atomizer into your eGo just like a clearomizer. Then you screw the cone over the atomizer. If it's your typical eGo battery, it will work. You'll figure it out instantly. If you got the right sized drip tip, it should snap snugly onto the top of the atomizer/cone. After that, wait a few seconds after dripping 2 to 4 drops of your favorite ejuice, hit the fire button, vape, and enjoy.

Also, make sure you keep your low resistance atomizer clean. There are many videos and forum posts detailing how to properly clean your atomizer ("atty"). They don't last forever, they will eventually crap out on you, too, but they're not nearly as covered in failure sauce as those clearomizers, Stardusts, etc. Just stock up on the atomizers. 1 could last you anywhere from a few weeks to a month, depending on your vaping, how often you clean it, etc.

Hope this helps. If it doesn't, ask more questions. Someone smarter than myself will most assuredly come along.

Ditch clearomizers altogether. .

Totally disagree. That's a very large area of vaping you are dismissing. Clearos when used properly and ordered from reputable vendors last forever and do what they're supposed to do. Dripping, on the other hand, cannot be done at all if driving and if you do you are at risk for the same fate as people who text and drive. You also would need to carry around a bottle of juice at all times.

I use both Clearomizers and Vivi Novas and they're great. Still enjoy the occasional carto+ tank though.
What you're ordered is the "non rebuildable". Next time, whether it's the Stardust or the Vivi Nova order the "rebuildable- when the head burns out simply unscrew old head and screw in new head- 10 secs.
Here's a great price with 3 heads- $8.95- bottom of page, either 2.0 ml or 3.5 ml:

My heads are lasting about 4 weeks before having change them. I find the Vivi's have a better draw.

Man, I think I'm the one person on this earth who had nothing but bad experiences with clearos. Dang, dude. Someone direct me to a reputable source for a clearo that will work with my Kgo VV (it's locked at 4.5v and isn't going any higher).

EDIT: And won't end in spectacular failure. Like all the others.

Tell us what you were using.

I not had to touch any of the center pins on the half dozen clearomizers ive been useing since the the beginning of july. But i know it can happen. Clearomizers are easy to use and can last a long time. Everybody, mostly, likes them and as Vapoor Eyes said, the newer rebuildable ones.....just unscrew the head and screw new one in.

It came with a kit that my coworker ordered for me (I was a noob). It looked exactly like this: Vision eGo Stardust Clearomizer.

All three failed me.

EDIT: Don't get me wrong. Clearos look like the most awesome invention ever as far as tanks/cartos go. Once bitten, twice shy, though. Third time? I gave up.

I am, however, willing to give them another try if someone can point me to a reputable vendor, hopefully one with a return policy. I'm VERY VERY VERY skeptical of clearos.

2ND EDIT: I was using the clearos exclusively on a 1000 mAh eGo-T. Then I switched to a Kgo VV with a 510 lr atty for dripping. I tried my clearos again on my eGo-T as a last ditch effort, but alas, they no longer worked, period. And I never used them on a vv battery, just my eGo-T.

I use kanger T2s. They work fine on my twists but most of them won't even fire on the kgo vv, very frustrating.

We were talking about that somewhere here not that long ago. I got a T2 also, and it doesn't make contact on one of my batteries.. And i'm very careful to not over tighten it because it seems like it could easy over tighten and damage a battery.

They are the non rebuildable short wick= wicking problems. I use both the Stardust and Vivi BUT both are long wick. Vivi has better airflow IMO.
Long wick and includes 3 heads for $8.95

The coils burned up? do you have more than one battery?
I went to your link, never ordered from them, the pic shows short wick, but it says long wick. i dont like the way the site looks, but thats me. They claim to be Vision, which i like, they appear to be V1 orV2, which i have and couldnt get a coil to burn out since july..
If it was me, i would order elsewhere.

This is harder than when I was a noob on a popular MMORPG for the first time. SOOO confusing.

As far as ecigs go... Low res, high res, standard, short wicks, long wicks, debridging atomizers, attys, cartos, clearos, Stardusts, batteries, 510 this and that, mods, vivi nova this, vivi mini that, gah!

By no means will I go back to real cigarettes, but this whole e-cig thing is VERY, VERY, VERY confusing. I feel for all the noobs, and I'm one of them. I understand there is a huge learning curve with vapes, but dang. It seems like different sites sell specific items, but what you purchase isn't exactly what you see on the computer screen.

I'm trying to figure out who's the "flea market" vendor, and who's the reputable vendor.

Sometimes, when I come here, I feel like I have a pretty firm grip on things. But then I see a dozen opposing posts. I don't know who to believe or what to believe. I guess I just have to try it all myself and learn from that.
