As a long time lurker and someone who bought into the hype of the Eternity, I think I may give this a shot! I'm a novice reviewer (as in I've never posted a review in my life...) but the goodies are too good for me to pass up. So, being new, and unknown to everyone of you who frequents this forum, I look forward to giving my honest opinion on what looks like a top notch product or me failing miserably for you all to see :p Just gotta wait for the delivery of it ...

"Rebuildables are for experts, not average or beginner vapers with no multimeter or knowledge of how to use a meter, or when a meter must be used, or how electronic devices work."

I bought a multimeter just to be safe haha, I think being a beginner *maybe average* would be a good way to give a non-critical review... because I know what I like ;) and if I can figure this thing out... well, you get the idea.

I'm expecting my multimeter tomorrow :D Unfortunately it looks like I won't be in on this round even if I wanted to be. Payday was today, but this morning hubby had a blow out. Looks like any extra play money is a no go for this week :(

I think a beginner review is perfect, many of us are in that category when it comes to the rebuildables! Looking forward to your review.

Welcome out of lurkdome!!

I see both of your points...VISION requested that they didn't refer to a contest but on further thought I do see Neya's point and your further elaboration. VISION said HONEST review but I am sure they would much rather see a positive review. I'll remove that requirement....

I think it was smart to bring this up. While I'm no lawyer, this looks dangerously close to violating 255.5

http://ftc.gov/os/2009/10/091005revisedendorsementguides.pdf

Either way, it would be impossible for the competition for prizes not to bias the reviews. Even if it turned out not to be a legal violation (which I wouldn't want to find out unless I had the money to hire a damn good lawyer) it certainly seems to be a violation of trust within the e-cigarette reviewing community. I would be appalled if I found these on the Gotvapes site, did a search for reviews and found one on YouTube, purchased one and then later found that the reviewer had received around $100 worth of free products in exchange with explicit instructions to avoid mentioning the potential compensation.

This is EXACTLY the disclosure that good reviewers use either in their videos or immediately below and for good reason. It protects both their liability and their reputation. I find the lack of transparency here rather disturbing.

I respect that Danno. I can't imagine in all honesty that Vision is too concerned with FTC regulations or GotVapes well-being. Gotta look out for yourself. In my humble (non-lawyer) opinion, it actually looks as though it would be REQUIRED that reviewers DO mention the contest and possibility of compensation. I don't plan to enter, but if I was I would certainly err on the side of caution.

Either way, I do like the concept and can't wait to see the reviews. The Eternity would be my first venture into rebuildables and it would look sharp on my Egos. Hopefully I will get lots of demonstrations so I'll know what to do with one if I buy it!

And, WOW! This Jaw Buster is the ****! But that's not what this is about :p

Preliminary: I received the Eternity in the mail today. Came in a nice Tin and stores everything nice. After I unpackaged everything I put the coil base on my multimeter and got an Ohm reading of 1.7, which is fairly close to the 1.8-2.0 stated on the Gotvapes website.

I assembled the parts (Took me a minute to figure out how it goes) and loaded her up with juice. (giggity?) I put about 40 drops in, which is what it says it can hold. Got a bit of gurgly-ness that disappeared after a few vapes. The draw is a bit more open than what I’ve been using (Vivi Nova’s) but the flavor seems to be a bit more intense. The vapor production was great (could be that the voltage output was hitting the 1.7 ohm harder compared to the 2.8 ohm vivi head).

I’ve only used 3 atomizers, just cheap 510’s, 2.0 Ohm and 2.8 Ohm. In my opinion, while I may not be a pure dripper, this is pretty good. If not the same or better! Plus I love that it holds more juice than a cartomizer, delivers better flavor, and looks sweet! The cone it came with really adds a nice, finished, connected look on my KGo and my eGo twist.

No burnt flavor on the KGo with chain vaping (The battery is running low, I’m pretty sure, because I haven’t charged it in 2 days, rotating it with the Twist). On the twist, I’ve had to compensate for the low Ohm by setting it to 3.5 or lower, anything higher produces a fair amount of heat and a bit of burning after chain vaping.

So far, I like it, and the included wick and coil (pre-wrapped) looks like it’s nicely and consistently done. It comes with extra wick also, probably for an Ego-T setup with the Ego-T needle base. Haven’t fooled around with it all yet, because I want to get my camera to work on my phone so I can record it for your viewing pleasure! Exciting product as is, no fooling out of the box to get it to work right, no leaking. Is it a beast? I dunno yet… but I like it, maybe more-so than my Vivi nova's, although I love how easy they are to use!

I am going to post this in the 3 threads I have found so far for the vision eternity, so I apologize if you see this in another thread just want to get as many responses as I can.

A little info, I have only been vaping for 3 weeks. So this is my first rebuildable and I do not have a lot of experience to go off of, but wanted to give my impressions.

The eternity just came in the mail. As other posters have said very nicely packaged with an instruction booklet. It also took me several minutes to figure out which parts I would need, and that part "b" is only needed if you are using an ego is my guess to clean the look up. So I attached part "c", the coil head, to my provari. Put a few drops on the coil/wick and it tested at an exact 1.8 ohms. Used the calculator and chose to start with 3.4 volts. Put the rest together and put in 15 drops. Let it soak and fired it up. Great vapor production, flavor seems ok but this may be due to the juice (backwoodsbrew applewood steeped for 12 days.

I've added about another 10 drops, after it soaked in I took the drip tip off and put it upside down and after several seconds only one drop came out which I then turned right side up again, just wanted to see how much and how fast it would leak, not very so may test it again with a juice I don't care for as much another time. I bumped up to 3.6 and it tasted burned so went to 3.5 and leaving it there until I break the coil in more.

The draw is airier then the vision novas, feels cooler so that is different. I want to go higher voltage to see how it goes heat wise and get to about 8 or 9 watts.

After using some of the juice I started to take it apart to see if it would leak if I wanted to see how much juice is left. I only had the coil head and the part D with the point and noticed a drop starting to come out the 510 connector so I stopped taking it apart, will try when I know there is less juice left.

The look is very sleek and the whole atomizer feels very sturdy and well put together. I am interested to see how easy it will be to take off the clips on the posts, as I read another poster had difficulty and someone else suggested wiggling on/off rather then straight pulling/pushing. If you chain vape it will warm up the atomizer since it is metal, which isn't surprising since any aotmizer I have used does this, more just to put it out there.

Questions I have are:
1.) Will there be some kind of clear tank to add to see how much juice is left? Thought I saw it mentioned there may be.
2.) If I disassemble to see how much juice is left will it leak all over (example when I take parts c and d apart?
3.) Do I need to turn on an angel and spin, like the vision novas to keep the wick wet?
4.) I am guessing to switch flavors it is best to clean out like the novas, rinse all out and change coils?
5.) Can this be filled and then carried around or is there a concern of leaking?
6.) Has anyone used cotton as a wick?

As a Joke.) Any way you can engrave Captain Awesome on one and send it to me :), just kidding.

So far I am really happy with it and am looking forward to making my own coil and wick, as well as using longer to see how it pans out.

Edit: Sorry for such a quick edit, but once I figured the juice was getting low I took the chance and took apart the coil head from the spike head (part d) and see that as long as you know it is getting low taking those to apart won't leak unless there was a lot of juice inside sitting there. Then I put it back together added 10 drops, and took a drag once it soaked in. To test the leaking from the top again I took off the drip tip and held upside down for about a minute and again only one drop came out. So not sure if this is something I can put in my pocket or carry case if there is much juice in it.
