When will these heads be available to purchase again. I just want the heads, no bodies. I definitely want at least 1, if not 2 v3 heads. Thanks.i didnt mention this so ill mention this here, your sanding it down not only for the pin to touch the base but also for the spring rod on the tube to touch the metal connection on the underside of the head unit. so shaving it down makes sure everything is making a connection.
coyote would you mid sending me your unit into me tube and head
Mine also has a 5 second shut-off, but it hasn't really bothered me because I don't take a drag longer than 5 seconds.
They all have the shut off function. I bought mine from somewhere else and it does exactly the same thing. Sanding it down will certainly help with the head resetting itself at times but it will not "fix" the shutoff. It's a built in function, sorry. Also, when you have a sudden failure of the fire button or the puff counter resets itself out of the blue, change your battery. All in all, it's a good mod, provided you understand it's quirks and know how to deal with them.
That makes better sense. And while I agree in most instances 5 seconds is long enough just not in all.Coyote, my screen doesn't stay lit after the 5 seconds shut off, so that tells me that you may indeed have a problem and I meant change them batts when you'd been vaping for a while and the mod starts acting up even though the charge indicator says the battery still has alot of life left in it.
Has anyone had any luck on this. I have sanded and filed and have tubes connecting nice and tight but still haven't stopped the shutoff problem.
Tubes are sanded down flush with the plastic insert.
I know i have taken about 1/8 inch off the center of the head where the connector pin is.
When I push the tube on and before I twist to lock it the oled screen lights up so I must have contact.
Cant seem to get the shutoff fixed yet. Trying to figure out what to sand more off of next ???
I've no luck ether. Same problems you are having. I only sanded on head and one tube. still have the the 4-5 second cut off problem. I'm afraid to sand anymore off, might go too far. Also when I press the button the screen will stay on for 10 seconds but the power to the carto/tank will cut off after 4-5 seconds. Sometime the screen don't light at all when it fires. Maybe it was a low battery, but a couple times it it not only fired longer than 5 seconds, but kept firing after I let go of the button. I could screw the carto on and off still firing. That problem went a way after changing battery. It always gets weird with low battery. And one of mine carto quit working on it(only 3.0 tank carto I have), but works on the other head and all other e-cigs I have. (that have to just be a bad carto, I think) I'll wait and see what its does with only fresh batteries.
