Wow, That looks pretty easy to do and does make sense.
Chris thanks for taking the time to show those of us with a problem how to fix the issue.
GotVapes is one heck of a vendor, constantly updating and upgrading issues as they arise.
The shipping is fantastic, now juices are in and the new Vivi Nova 2.5 is the best I've seen yet in vaping. WOW
I didn't want to give up on you guys, and once again you came thru.
Just unheard of in the vaping community.Customer Service is the best.

sorry for the delay, but since we moved up the shipping moving to when we did instead of july it caused me to be backed up with lots and lots of work, im a day or 2 form being free, then as i promised more videos will drop and more help on the fly will happen, I know we are here all day every day but it doesnt hurt to be even more active then we are.

hope this helps the ones with issues.

i didnt mention this so ill mention this here, your sanding it down not only for the pin to touch the base but also for the spring rod on the tube to touch the metal connection on the underside of the head unit. so shaving it down makes sure everything is making a connection.
When will these heads be available to purchase again. I just want the heads, no bodies. I definitely want at least 1, if not 2 v3 heads. Thanks.

Has anyone had any luck on this. I have sanded and filed and have tubes connecting nice and tight but still haven't stopped the shutoff problem.
Tubes are sanded down flush with the plastic insert.
I know i have taken about 1/8 inch off the center of the head where the connector pin is.
When I push the tube on and before I twist to lock it the oled screen lights up so I must have contact.
Cant seem to get the shutoff fixed yet. Trying to figure out what to sand more off of next ???

They all have the shut off function. I bought mine from somewhere else and it does exactly the same thing. Sanding it down will certainly help with the head resetting itself at times but it will not "fix" the shutoff. It's a built in function, sorry. Also, when you have a sudden failure of the fire button or the puff counter resets itself out of the blue, change your battery. All in all, it's a good mod, provided you understand it's quirks and know how to deal with them.

Mine also has a 5 second shut-off, but it hasn't really bothered me because I don't take a drag longer than 5 seconds.

OK,I normally am ok with a five second drag also but would like 10 for the few times I double drag.My main problem is is that sometimes I pick it up to take a drag and get nothing at all and as I pull it away notice the Goodbye my Master screen scrolling along. This is not because I took 5 quick drag in succession it is because something in the electronics is not right,or as Bad believes because the connection is not tight.
Also when I press the button the screen will stay on for 10 seconds but the power to the carto/tank will cut off after 4-5 seconds.
10 seconds to cutoff seems to be the standard that most vaping devices use and there are times when it is needed.
Bad wants me to send it in so he can check it out.

It may be a built in function but it is not supposed to cut off in 4-5 seconds. The OLED screen will stay lit for 10 seconds but the power to the carto cuts off in 4-5.
Why should I have to change my battery when I just put a fresh charged one in.
So you are saying to take a 4-5 second drag change battery and then take another 4-5 second drag. Come on man you kidding me.
And by the way, all devices have a cutoff, and the default on most are 10 seconds as in Lavatube ,Ego twist ,Innokin Itaste. And last and most important the specific specs on the Tox are a 10 second cutoff not 5.
I'm however glad you are happy with yours.

Coyote, my screen doesn't stay lit after the 5 seconds shut off, so that tells me that you may indeed have a problem and I meant change them batts when you'd been vaping for a while and the mod starts acting up even though the charge indicator says the battery still has alot of life left in it.

:smokie:
That makes better sense. And while I agree in most instances 5 seconds is long enough just not in all.
I ordered this after reading the specs and paid 85.00 for it.I just want it to do what it is supposed to do.
I don't think I am asking for too much.
Badkolo has asked me to send it to him so he can check it out further and thats what i will do.

PS. Thanks for trying to help a fellow vapor out tho...

I've no luck ether. Same problems you are having. I only sanded on head and one tube. still have the the 4-5 second cut off problem. I'm afraid to sand anymore off, might go too far. Also when I press the button the screen will stay on for 10 seconds but the power to the carto/tank will cut off after 4-5 seconds. Sometime the screen don't light at all when it fires. Maybe it was a low battery, but a couple times it it not only fired longer than 5 seconds, but kept firing after I let go of the button. I could screw the carto on and off still firing. That problem went a way after changing battery. It always gets weird with low battery. And one of mine carto quit working on it(only 3.0 tank carto I have), but works on the other head and all other e-cigs I have. (that have to just be a bad carto, I think) I'll wait and see what its does with only fresh batteries.

I've never had it working long enough to use a battery charge up. Man I have tried, but have to put it down because it is not satisfying to vape with. And BR5495 I know exactly what you mean.
