I've had my TOX for about a week now and so far I like it. I was kind of scared to move over to a tube mod because of size but it turns out its really not bad at all. My only gripes are:

1. Some times it does not fire.
2. Everything resets on its own sometimes with the batts still in.
3. I can put this damn thing down.

I know Bad said fixes are coming in for 1&2 but I'm gonna need another arm to fix 3.

I know what you mean. This is my first tube mod and it is surprisingly comfortable. And I thought I was just losing my mind on the resetting thing, but yep, apparantly my TOX is possessed of demons  looking forward to the new head because when this thing works, it rocks.

So glad to hear the new stuff will be available soonish. Other vendor wouldn't let me wait on corrections... just giving me refund. So looks like I'll be able to get it from you, afterall, with all the improvements, when they're officially corrected! And yeah, Erin... possessed of demons is a good way to put it. rofl Dang thing has a life of its own. But can't wait to have a fully functional one of these in my hands!

Well, guessing you're a guy, so this might not appeal to you so much, but my friend (just converted her to vaping last week, after 30+ years on the butts! Yay!) and I are gonna start making little simple cloth purse type bags, very narrow, to fit a tube mod, with a strap, like a purse, out of some really amazing fabrics she's got a few spare rooms full of. They'll all be very unique and done up with fabric paints as well, with little pouches for stuff like batts and cartos. Again, prob not very exciting for a guy (though we'll definitely do some sorta olive drab type ones, prob w loop for on belt), but for a girl... I think they'll be perfect pv accessory. We'll just be hooking up friends for a while, but eventually planning to maybe offer them. As for guy... I know they have little belt holsters in leather for baton type weapons and pepper spray.. might wanna pop into an army navy type store (guessing you've done that before, based on your screenname) and see what would be appropriate fit for your Tox. Might look rather cool, in a sort of biker-esque way. ;)

youll be much happier once the new heads come, trust me plus the 18650 tube as well, then youll have the trifecta

Trifecta? Bah! We want Quadfecta! You know, those little end caps, so that we can have a tube all ready with battery.

See, I am a quadfecta type guy. I have come so close, but never got the quadfecta. I got my iMac, Macbook Pro, and iPad, but I just can't seem to drop my Samsung Galaxy SII, for the iPhone. Trifecta! I need a quadfecta!

I know they are coming, so I just had to play!

Lol, I'm about to trade my iPhone for that Galaxy Note. I sat in Best Buy for a hour playing with one.

Oh, that Note is nice! Excellent choice! I got the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 Plus, and love that tablet. The Note is the best of both worlds!

The vendor I purchased from required me to keep and pay for the batteries and cartos then charged a 15% restocking fee on the Head and Tube. Nearly a $30 loss by the time I paid postage to send it back. Did you have better luck with your vendor?

yeah we wont do that to you, we acknowledged there is a issue with the head, the factory understands this that the whole line practicaly had a head issue, they already made new heads but we are waiting additional few days for even more improvements, once the heads are ready we will ship them out and pay for shipping obviously.

We arent happy about this in any way but this was a widespread issue that was beyond anything gotvapes could do, so to ensure everyone is happy we will handle anyone with a issue.

Aw, that's no fun. I'm not out any money on it, other than fact that I'll have to rebuy it from gotvapes, so essentially will pay shipping twice.. .no biggie, though, and that's just logical since I've got to go to a different vendor. But I'd MUCH RATHER just know the 100% corrected head will show up asap, like gotvapes purchasers. I just didn't know much about GV as a vendor before I bought.... found the GV forum and started playing with all the fun people here like the day after I purchased the first tox. Won't make that mistake, again. :)

I will say that policy is policy... we all check before we buy... but we do expect that when a known issue like that is going on, that we won't be penalized. Sounds like GV and my orig vendor are making some concessions in their policy so as not to mess up their customers too badly on a problem that is widespread and known to come from manufacturer, and alas.. yours isnt'. I've had things like that before, and I'll say that it certainly influenced me when deciding to buy from that vendor again. ;) I'm so sorry you're having this problem. I know with my budget, I sure can't afford to waste $30 and end up with nothing. Sorry!

I REALLY REALLY love the whole concept and presentation of the Tox. The design itself just seems intuitive to me, separate head and tubes, etc. I'm willing to jump through some hoops to end up with a good one, especially since they're planning such amazing advances in the product line at some point. In other words, I'm thrilled to rebuy it once the problems are solved in very near future. I hope you get the chance to as well, but I know that whack to the wallet will make it more challenging for you. Such a bummer!

For sure I won't be doing any more business with KalamazooVapor. One thing that would really swing me back to the Tox in a big way would be a 3.5amp circuit like the Provari V2. Till then I'll stick with my Lavatube.

Busardo's review of the Provari V2 nearly sold me on one but for all the one button fussing just to change voltage or anything else for that matter. The button punching was a significant part of Phil's review. Much simpler on the Tox or Lavatube.
