These sound nice and once the bugs are worked out i'd like to get one. How do they differ from units like the lava tube and apollo?

byggd, I'm headed to bed right now, but I promise tomorrow I'll come back with some photos for you to see these awesome guys up close. They're really amazing. Where the Lava Tube has a slightly fuzzy reddish led screen, the Tox has a perfectly clear (like your cellphone... that clear) oled display with crisp white numbers on black background. Plus, it comes with both batteries and tubes for the regular 18500 and mini 18350 sizes, so you can choose which size you want to make your tox on any given day according to your needs. Plus, the 18650 tubes will soon be available by themselves, very inexpensively. So you'll be able to have all three sizes, whenever you need em. As far as vv function, with these perfect new ones badkolo has on the way to Gotvapes, they work pretty similar to the lavatube in terms of the 3v-6v vv function in .1 increments with an up and down button. They also have the 2.5 amp restriction, like Lava Tube, to prevent you from burning up a 1.5ohm atty at 6v. According to Chris, you can get a 2.8ohm atty up to close to 6v and a 1.7ohm up to 4.7v on these new heads, so they're pretty fantastic that way. And in my opinion, thats a really good thing, especially if you're getting into VV for the first time. Stops you from frying all your attys and cartos while you figure it out. ;) The safety functions are similar to the Lava as well. On the Tox, there are a number of other things you can see on the display, such as your remaining battery life (similar to a cell phone, you can see how much is remaining with a little graphic), toot counter... lots of good stuff. And whole thing can be easily turned on or off with 5 clicks to the fire button. I believe its a tiny bit smaller, overall than the regular size lt, but will probably be about the same size once the 18650 tubes are available. I just adore mine. And now that the new heads are going to be available, if I had to choose between tox and lava, I'd choose Tox. The changeable size thing and the nice display are really well done. And tons of people are buying LTs in both regular and mini size. With the tox, you have both options (and soon 18650 as well) in one device. And because the heads and the 'batt tube' are two different pieces, once the heads and tubes are available separately, you'll be able to have mix and match options, if they release other colors, or if a new version controller head comes out with different functions. Really, an amazing amount of PV for the price. I've been stuck with one of the original heads with voltage issues for a few weeks, waiting for these new ones to be available, and even at about 4v, its still a great vape. I'm literally fogging myself out of my room with vapor. lol So once the upgraded heads show up, it'll be really outstanding. And it does come with two interesting clearo tank sort of cartos that were rather cool, lanyard, empty bottle, charger, batts for both sizes, tubes for both sizes... everything you need, basically. Anyway, I'll show you some photos tomorrow, but if you have any specific questions, someone here will be able to answer em. Personally, I dont' think you can go wrong with this, once the new heads show up. I work with a lot of new vapers, and this Tox kit from GotVapes is definitely what I'll be recommending as a first vv unit to all of them.

Oh, and Lava Tube and the VV tube from Apollo are the same exact thing, they're just branded as different names by the specific vendors. The Tox is a whole other animal.;)

Oh, guess where I am going when I have questions. :p

Guessing is not my nature, but I'll give it my best shot and say you'll come to me, heheh. If so, I'll be glad to give your questions my best shot.

If you make one of these things, you'll also have to make a puller to get the guts out for wick and coil replacements. I ain't got no drawing for one of them, so you'll have to guess. :D

Here's another piece of obsolete junk that you can take credit for. This one was made for my wife's eGo battery.

what about no air coming through the mian pole and isntead have a air hole on the side under the coil,

I have given that a lot of thought in the past, but never found a way to make it simple and easy to take apart and put back together for maintenance.

Also remember. This thing has to be easy to refill with juice, so the cup has to have enough space between it and the outer tube.

Oh, come on! Only one wick??? Bah! I want to see 3! :lol:

Two fat wicks are usually more than enough. All wicking material is not created equal, and sometimes they are too much. But then, I have tested a few wicks that are almost useless, and won't even work in a br bottle mod. If you don't know what a bottle mod is, ask bad. He invented it, heheh.

I put an e-power carto top on a Vision Grande, because it is like a baby bottle. I call it my bottle too. That's about as close as I want to get. :D

Priceless hell! i ended up using hot glue, [I'm big on hot glue in the field, long story] to make one and it came apart as i used it and shorted out my mod BUT it all proved if you keep the wicks away from the wall everything worked a LOT better. That's what those little stubby wicks in the Visions are all about
br's come a long way since then

HA! :lol::lol::lol: Priceless!!!

I wouldn't recommend that you or anyone else read that entire thread because of all the useless jabber, but some of the ideas we had back then were used in the development of the C-E2. Not only that, but ALL of the clear type cartomizers on the market today can be traced back to this thread.

If you look at it the right way Charlie, the wicks against the wall for the entire length improves the capillary action. All you have to do is look at one when the juice is about half way down in the tank. Then you will see additional juice clinging to the wick between it and the wall. This juice is doing about the same thing as a very small tube, which is actually the best thing for capillary action.
