So I've been using Smoktech DCT carto tanks almost exclusively lately. I really enjoy the draw and the throat hit I get from these. Out of curiosity I ordered a mini Vivi Nova v2.5. Everybody seems to be ranting and raving about how good the vivi nova tanks are, so I was excited to try it.

At first I was impressed with the build of it. It looks nice and seems well put together. loaded it up with a juice that I know gives me a good throat hit with the carto tanks, and I have to say I'm disappointed. The flavor seems good with the vivi nova. It produces good vapor, and it seems really smooth, but there is almost zero throat hit, even with 70/30 PG/VG mix and 18mg of nicotine. I really wanted to like this thing, but at the moment I see this thing getting very little use. Where is the throat hit? Am I doing something wrong? I've experienced the same exact thing with my Kanger T3. Good flavor, good vapor production, but zero throat hit. I'm beginning to think that clearo tanks are just incapable of producing a decent throat hit.

sometimes clearos work right, and then you wonder why you use anything else, but then you get a ....ty one, maybe a bad coil or something, and you want to forsake them forever. I love my vivi novas, but only the vision ones. The other brands are far too inconsistent for me to enjoy them. I've never had a problem with lack of throat hit, what voltage/wattage you running?

What a tiresome debate. I see this same thread 12 times a day on here. Some like them, some don't. If you like them, use them. If you don't like them, don't use them.

"I won't use them"
"I love them"
"They mute the flavor"
"Flavor is great"
"No throat hit"
"Plenty of throat hit"
"They leak"
"I've never had a leak"
"They suck"
"They're great"

Exactly, it works for some not others. I've had good luck with the Novas by rebuilding the heads. They work well for me. Pbusardo likes them and he's tried everything.

I like mine ok. I like that I can rebuild the heads myself. I have an RBA but I don't feel like taking a bottle of juice to drip at school.

This. Thank you. There's nothing that's ever been made that's for everyone. Only way to know is try something. If you don't like it, move on. This is why vaping is expensive when you start, but CAN get cheap in the long run. You kiss a lot of frogs before you find your own particular "prince".

Tastes great, Less filling, Taste great, Less filling... Gaaa!! It brings me back to old beer commercials.

I have a few ReDux, A few Stardusts & a Vivi Nova.. From my own experience, Which is extremely limited... I enjoy the Vivi the best. For me, solid throat hit, nice vapor, no leaks, ect. I barely use my stardusts any longer due to not what my tastes wanted.

Vivi Nova at 3.2ohm & set at 5-6 volts or 8-10 watts is a thing of beauty on my Vamo. Just my thoughts. I have yet to try cartos, and carto tanks.. but that time is coming soon. :)

but what are you using the nova on? From my experience it only works best with higher wattage

I'm using it on an ego twist. I've tried cranking up the voltage to 4.8, and still no throat hit. Just tastes burn't. I think the people that claim they get an excellent throat hit off these things don't actually know what a throat hit feels like.

I realize most people on here seem to think they're the only ones that know anything, but I know what throat hit is, thank you very much.

Did you buy a genuine Vision Vivi Nova or a knock off?

Sorry, I don't mean to offend anybody. I'm just calling it like I see it. I believe it's genuine. I bought it from Heathers Heavenly Vapes

News Details - Vision High Technology

a) You won't find HHV on the official distributors list above.

b) They don't call them Vision Vivi Novas, they call them Mop Head Vivi Novas.

c) If you look at the head on one of those and the head of a genuine Vivi Nova you'll see they aren't even close to the same.

d) Ask Adam at HHV and he'll tell you.
