You may have bought the Vivi Nova based on all the positive feedback BUT the one that's getting rave reviews is the Vision brand Mini Vivi Nova. Been using mine for 10+ months with no issues. The Vivi Nova (GS V-Core) is a completely different juice delivery device.
Here's the Vision Mini Vivi Nova

it depends on it your using thick juices or not if your using this juices it might not be wicking to the coil like it should. try removing the little silica "cup" around the wick/coil I do this on every coil I buy before I even put it into use. also drip onto the coil/wick before firing for the first time it will help pre-fill the wicking. Also if your wanting a lot of vapor try using a higher VG juice not sure what your using now. but my 50/50 puts off tons of vapor with a 2.4Ω head at 4.5V

What juice are you using? This is how I get the most out of my nova. First, when you add liquid, you have to let it sit so the wick can absorb the juice. The thicker the juice, the longer it can take. If you fill it past the ml marking, it will produce very littler vapor until it burns the juice down to below the markers, so dont over fill it basically. When you first fill it, and before putting it on the battery, take a few strong sucks to draw juice into the atomizer. Also, always check the battery post for liquid buildup and residue, which can impare vapor production. I clean mine with a q-tip every time I refill. Make sure there is no juice on top of the rubber nipple thing too, as this stops vapor. If the top and bottom are dry, battery is clean, and the wick is saturated, the vapor will cloud any regular sized room (at least mine do and I have 6 nova tanks). I use VG juice from a variety of vendors. I wouldnt have modded it so quick, as they work great as they are if you know what you are doing, but it is a learning process. When I first fill mine, sometimes I get poor vapor at first, but I keep sucking and it gets itself going. This is when I usually overfill it or forget to clean my battery post.

Also, I use a very thick Johnsons creek vanilla flavored juice with no issues. However,if you ever get a burnt taste...........suck on it a few times without firing the battery to draw more juice into the wick. I also twirl the tank around as I vape to help saturate each wick, each time. The result is thick, THICK clouds of vapor. I have to open my window and use a fan or it looks like a sauna in my apartment sometimes.
