After using the Taryn method for 2 refills, and having it work splendidly, all of a sudden I'm sitting here with a burnt lip. The temperature of the carto SPIKED, and burnt my lip.
That has happened to me, too - usually when I'm chain-vaping and don't put it down enough. Also, it tends to happen most often with the ones I refill with a PG/VG mix.
Is it an auto battery? If so keep an eye on the LED tip. It should go out immediately when you stop inhaling. If manuel the LED should go out as soon as you release the button. Either one will overheat the atty. A battery is defective once in a while.
I am having a similar experience, also. I am incline to suspect the new juice I am using. Are some juice generate more steam from having too much moisture than normal? It's more noticeable on KR808D1. I am curious on mattdel's question, anybody for comments? Or could this be a sign that the cartomizer is ready to burn up, like some lightbulb will get real bright and then kaputs.
I've found this will happen if you inadvertantly run the cart dry and burn through the protective wick covering the atomizer coil. Once this cover is burnt the heat transfers directly through the juice and to the outside of the cartridge. If you were to dismember the cart and pull out the filling you will see what I mean.
I have this happer too. I just took one of the caps off an old carto, cut the end off and slid it on the outside of the carto like a sleeve. Works great. Been doing it for awhile with no problems. Also after you wash them and dry them it's not as bad.
i just use a 801 rubber atty tip on my carts they fit a little tight just dont power vape with this on it still gets a little hot but its the way try it youll love this idea lawnman3
