I've been loving the clearos so far, but today I left it sitting for a bit after I refilled it and came back to find that it had dumped half the juice through the battery connection.

One of the (first) 2 I ordered has that problem. Worked fine for a couple tanks worth of juice then suddenly started leaking juice out the bottom. I have to take it off and blow it out every few minutes. Not sure what causes it though as the other one I have has been filled a dozen times with the same juice (50/50 Vaperite Strawberry Shortcake) and it still works flawlessly.
Ordered 8 more though so I 'm hoping it's just some anomaly. Once they get here I'll take the misbehaving one apart and see if I can figure out what's wrong.

t's still nothing I want to be inhaling so I guess I won't be doing that anymore. I'm crushed now. Thought I had a good idea. Back to the drawing board, or drying board as the case may be lol.

I use a rechargeable air mattress inflator I picked up in the sporting goods section at Walmart several years ago. It has a little cone attachment that I wrapped with some duct tape to narrow the opening down a bit which works flawlessly for both blowing out computers and for drying out cartos. Much more economical than disposable cans of air and no chemicals to worry about.

Well I'll be. I wuzznt aware of that Rave. I just looked on my can and it said a bitterant had been added to discourage inhalant abuse. Don't know why but I got no taste from it at all though. It's still nothing I want to be inhaling so I guess I won't be doing that anymore. I'm crushed now. Thought I had a good idea. Back to the drawing board, or drying board as the case may be lol. Thanx for sharing that.

Oohh - Sorry Wuzz. I found out the same way when I posted somewhere that I was getting a terrible taste after cleaning my atomizer way "back in the day". Someone else told me about the bitterant then.

I'll bet the difference in taste is that the stuff gets into the batting big time on regular cartos but not so much on clearos. I didn't taste it at all. I got away from cigarettes to get rid of the chemicals so I don't need to be adding any to my vaping. I'm not really crushed lol. I thought you knew I'm a clown by now. :D

That's gonna be a great start for you, and you'll quickly be wondering how you were able to stand the Blu for so long! Congrats! Way to go!
Read through this thread though. A lot of good tips on here about the clearos.

I am now at 2 weeks in using the X2 batt. and clearomizer combo, So I thought I would post my experience with it...

First of all I absolutely LOVE the vapor hit and flavor thru it.. MUCH better than standard cartos IMO...

That being said I must give one warning... My liquid consumption increased dramatically at first, but after the "newness wore off" liquid consumption is still faster through the x2. YMMV of course...

Also, If you are like me, Now that I have become used to the fuller flavor and vapor hit, I simply cannot return to the regular cartos. They just don't cut it now...

After 2 weeks I have noticed that While the clearomizer still vapes well, the color of the liquid (555)turns a dark coffee brown within a few minutes in the clearomizer. It still vapes just fine, but there is a hint of singed caramel taste. I plan on attempting a cleaning experiment just as soon as my replacements come... I will post and success/failures I have in that regard..

All in all I am VERY pleased with the new setup. It's the closest I have come to finding a substitute analogs yet...

Thanks SI for keeping me analog free for almost 3 months.... :))

Just got done giving the clearos my first "real" cleaning after 2 weeks of nonstop use. Noticed the draw was getting a little stiff so here is what I did.

Vaped it till I got some dry hits. Removed mouthpiece and rinsed in hot tap water until there was no sign of juice.

Unfolded a paper clip, slid 1 end into the tube above the atomizer. A little sideways pressure and worked the rubber cap and tube out of the clearo.

Did a dry burn till the coil glowed a pretty shade of red, let it cool and then rinsed again. It was a little tricky to get the rubber cap and metal tube back on but I ended up using the plastic plug from the end of a Bic pen. (I am either very industrious or insane!)

It is drying now so I will report back on its performance, but I think this should bring it back to "like new"!

Note: If you try this it would be very easy to break the coil with a paper clip so make sure you just use the very tip to pull the metal tube out!!!!

Will follow up later! :D

Back with a quick update :)

Got impatient. Wasn't completely dry but I filled it with some lovely RY4 anyway.

First few hits were a little dead, like the wick still had water on it. After that, pure, unadulterated, clearomizer deliciousness! Vapes as good as new.

I had held off on buying a bunch of these since clearomizers of the past had some serious issues and my wallet is a little lighter than I am comfortable with. That said, I am going to be ordering quite a few more. They vape beautifully, enhance the flavor of my juices and have been pretty much leak-proof.

Thanks SI & Imagine for a fantastic product and service to match! ;)

yeah I'm really excited to finally have more battery life! Don't get me wrong, I am happy that Blu got me over the initial "HUMP" and got me off analogs, but now I am wanting something more, and of course, a new toy! lol

One of mine starting leaking from inside the air passage way somehow. Liquid comping through from the tip into your mouth. I thought at first it was just condensation or some got in the hole while filling. But after an hour or so realized it was certainly leaking.

My other ones are fine. Maybe I over tightened the tip and caused an issue with the seal on the inside where the tip connects to the inside air passage way.

I was a little confused with the wick thing, You are supposed to fill just too the bottom of them, But that is almost just over where the mesurments stop, Which I thought you wernt supposed to over filll it. and are the wicks supposed to be soaked in it ? Because they obviously get soked in it after a use of too, But do they need to be before first use?

I fill mine all the way to the top, just leaving enough room for the tip to screw in.

Doing that can actually cause over fill which can lead to poor vapor production and taste... but if it working for you great :) but it is not recommended to fill over the 1.6ml line.

filling them up and letting them lay on thier side for about 10 min does the trick ..with the wick ;)

Clearomizers=Awesome. My wife and I have been using them for over a week now with no hardware issues. Still going strong. Just be careful of the juice u use to prevent cracking (Happened with the first one I used). I've even filled it up fully to see if it would leak or produce bad vapor with no issues it worked great. Only thing I want to know is if their is a way to clean / reuse these things. All in all ill be ordering a lot more of these.

I also give them a few dry hits before vaping. If you get a dry hit while vaping, just tilt it on its side, that soaks the wick again, and you're good to go. I love these.

man you filler uppers with no problems are killin me lol.

i got 3 and each one floods/leaks down the center tube if i do anything but carefully tilt to wet the wicks. tried everything - top screwed down tight, not quite as tight, store them standing up, store them on their side, don't fill past top line, etc.

when they're not leaking though they are quite lovely.

it looks like they're leaking upwards from the wick slot into the tube as i can see the liquid pooling behind the plastic before they gurgle. maybe i just got a funky batch.
