to anyone having problems with liquid coming out the tip end:

Make sure the silver ring piece the tip screws into is sitting completely flush to the top of the clearo....if its not... empty the liquid out and put it in on a flat surface...push it back in flush..... then refill and screw the cap on and try again

If the silver ring comes loose with use and twisting it can create a gap and cause the tip to not block the liquid from coming out.

The silver piece came loose on one of mine (glue came loose). I took it completely off, emptied and cleaned the clearo, then super-glued the silver piece back on. Works like a champ now.

How DO you know?

:w00t:  :w00t:  :w00t:  :w00t:

We have GOT to hear that story!

:pop:

Ok, it's not as interesting as you think. I like to read and vape in bed. I have to tilt the pv completely horizontal to get a vape. juice got in my mouth. I'm sorry it's such a lame story, but it's early and I couldn't think of a convincing, yet interesting lie.

So far, these are great. Perfect on my X2. I'm afraid to say any further positive things as I tend to jinx myself once I get myself all set up. lol.

Good work SI. A brilliant update to your product line. :)

A question: If I would like to rinse these out prior to use, and leave them to air dry, does it matter if they are air drying for weeks? Or should I use a bit of nic liquid to put in them to keep the atty wet?

They ship dry, so storing them dry after cleaning should be no prob.

I'm having the same issues as lunchblaze. I bought four clearos and was really pleased with them the first week. I have gone through three already and I just bought them 4/7. I have read everything, tried everything that has been suggested...except dry burning because I don't know how and don't want to mess anything up...and still have problems with them. I get dry puffs that burn the heck out of my throat even when the tank is full, then it will be ok for a few puffs, then sometimes I get a gurgling sound and when I unscrew it from the battery there is a nice puddle of liquid setting on top. Clean it off and then get a few more hits off it or maybe not. Today the purple one I was using was working fine and then just stopped working. Completely stopped. No warning just nothing. That's when I started reading through this thread.

I tried keeping it on it's side, straight up, just roll it sideways when I want to use it...everything. The liquids that I am using are all 70/30 pg/vg either from Highbrow or Vape the Rockies. Neither are thick juices. My husband only uses tobacco flavors and by the time he finishes half it looks like molasses. I really want to like these things because it is so much better than a cart but I'm having so many issues. I have had much better luck with my little 901-T tanks on my stick batteries. I have four more that are still in the plastic bag they came in and I am afraid to use them LOL One plus is that I love the X2 and have no issues with it!

We are going to Las Vegas next week and was looking forward to taking the X2 and the clearos with us. Now I'm not sure if I want the frustration.

When you get the gurgling sound and the drop of juice on the battery, don't just clean the battery and screw the clearo back on. In that case I roll up a fine piece of paper towel and insert it on the clearo from the bottom. Then I blow air through it and remove the paper towel. Also unscrew the mouthpiece and clean the clear plastic inside the clearo if some juice has accumulated there using another piece of rolled up paper. Then screw the mouthpiece back on gently and tight.

In my case, after I do that, the clearo goes back to working just fine. I hope this works for you.

Regarding the dry hits, I never get one as long as I periodically keep the wicks wet by tilting the juice onto them. I do this every few puffs, especially if the clearo is about half full.

Don't know about Vaperite, I've only used Todd's liquids in cartos (and the one's I've tried weren't the best in cartos). However, Virgin Vapor's Absolute Virgin organics are extremely carto-friendly, and I plan on trying them in these clearos, when I order some new ones. Eleanor, kittiepie, have you ladies tried any of the VV in these? Or any other clearo style?
--I'm thinking I've read somewhere that "naturally extracted tobaccos" have a lot of solids in them that tend to clog things up, however not all organic liquids are going to have that problem

Same boat here. Some times it works , sometime not. I hate those dry hits that burn.
I do like the fact they hold alot more juice than my 901-T tanks , and when they do work right , they are awsome.
But the 901-T tanks , I have never had 1 problem so I decided to stick with those until they get the kinks out of these.
Will always use my life saving Volt PT at home , my Volt X2 Batt when I am away and continue to buy there Ice Menthol.
Am just a little sad I didnt get my wish of a 1 stop shop I was hoping for. ( but maybe someday ) :)

Economy & physics :)

Clearos that doesn't crack will cost you more (there's a pyrex tank who cost you the same as Volt Standar Starter Kit - almost indestructible)

And unless you could find a way to heat up coil without the need of air...

Well it doesn't seem that economy and physics variables took very long to produce improved clearos at a decent price. I just read that CE4+ clearos are now out in the market. Longer wicks and better plastic apparently preventing juice-related cracks. You don't have to keep these horizontal for proper wick saturation either. They're getting good reviews and can be had for around $5. I'm sure hoping SI get on this newer version asap, as I'd much rather order from SI than anywhere else at this point.

Don't believe it's appropriate for me to post links to other vendors, etc., on this thread but if you look you will find them.

Has anyone tried these with organic e-liquid, like Vaperite's natural house extracted tobacco? I've had nothing but bad luck with organic liquid in cartomizers (clog up really fast), so I was wondering if these clearomizers would do the trick?
I currently only have 3 of them, and I don't want to mess one up :)

Dingus, I have successfully used a naturally-extracted tobacco (PV's Kong's Vape) in these clearos -- worked just fine!

You're right about some of the NETs being very carto un-friendly, but some vendors "do it" better than others (i.e., Prime Vaping & DarthVapers).

See? There ya go. Change the plastic composition, put in longer wicks, and SI will corner the market on these things for 808s! From what everybody's saying, you already have the flavor down with these! :p
I'm trying to get these perfect for when I can afford to buy some, can you tell?

I found the ones with the longer wicks (nice) but it didn't say anything about the plastic being different than before. Are you sure?

Not sure about the rules about naming other vendors here, so I won't. I think that I've seen what you are talking about. Reviews have certainly been mixed; most people must take them apart and do their own modifications with the wicks to get them to work properly....myself, I want something to work correctly, right out of the box. Plus, from what I can tell, they are still made of polycarbonate plastic. Acrylic would be better for the offending juices that destroy clearos.

I've been looking for some glass tanks that could fit and work on my Volt stuff. I have a number of trial size juices that I'm afraid to put in my clearomizers after one shattered after only a few minutes of being filled with one of them. I know that I can use blank cartos for them, but if I find one that becomes a favorite, I'd like to be able to put it a tank-sized device for all day vaping.
