VOLT X2 GIANT CLEAROMIZERS!! 1.6ml of nicquid - 8 color choices!!!

Sorry if this has already been covered in this huge thread but what is the best way to clean these clearomizers. I don't have a steam cleaner like mentioned above.

I'd like to get as much mileage as possible out of each clearomizers. It would be great if I could get one to last the 2 or 3 weeks that's advertised on the site. What cleaning option will best help me get to that point?

I'm just rinsing mine out with hot-ish water and then blowing them out and letting 'em dry. Seems to work. They're so new on the market that I haven't had time to experiment, and since this seems to work just fine, I'm not sure that I will.

I saw that thread the other day. I'm hoping that it is obsolete, in the sense that these newer clearos (including SI's) are made out of a completely different material . . .

I'm not sure what's they use in these. If it's polycarbonate, then they could crack or fog with some juices. If they're Polypropolene, then it's not a problem.

I don't think anybody knows that yet unless it's Imagine or Cooki3monst3r. They're the only ones who've had them long enough to know.

Ok so I'm real new to this and still have much to learn. In fact, I have not had my 1st vape yet. But I did place my 1st equipment order from SI based on the recommendations I've seen at ECF, and my X2 batteries and clearos are en route. Since then I've read more about some of the limitations of these clearos and can't help but think....this isn't rocket science. Is it? Can someone not design a clearo that doesn't crack and can wick properly without having to keep it in a certain position? What am I missing here?

Clearos that doesn't crack will cost you more (there's a pyrex tank who cost you the same as Volt Standar Starter Kit - almost indestructible)

And unless you could find a way to heat up coil without the need of air...

Fuzz.. the regular volt size is a lot more plug and play so to speak...

however the clearos are really not that much harder... you tend to see a lot of the rare issues on the forum as people reach out more when they need help then when things are just running smooth...

I tend to use the clearos more now myself.. and find that as long as you hold the X2 like a cigar and not a straw...and you are using a good flowing nicquid there are no wicking issues...and I have not had a leak or a crack, however if you do hold the batt upside down you can get a drop or 2 of nicquid in your mouth

I lay it down when I'm not vaping instead of standing it up, then don't pay much attention to how I hold it. I guess if I chain vaped I'd probably have to make sure I hold it sideways but in my normal position at least one side stays wet. First fill I got a little overanxious and got a couple of dry hits but none since.

Hi, i've read through about half this thread...not seeing that anyone else is having this issue...my juices are burning. I've used all 100% vg: bobas bounty, chai, and lemonade. all have burnt. what's going on?

I don't think so, I fill below the cap line, but will note the ml's the next time I fill one.

Here's what I've found with a couple of the clearos.

First one I got the nicquid down to the lowest line (not sure what that is in ml). No burnt taste. When it got below that line, I emptied it, cleaned it with distilled water and refilled it.

Second one got to that lowest line and I began to taste the burn. I found that if I stopped vaping it for a minute or two, I could get another couple of draws before I got the burn back. When it got below that line I could only get one draw every few minutes, until finally it was all burn. That happened at just below the lowest line.

On that second one, I also noted leakage onto the battery unit. Was leaking each time I put it on and took some draws. After filling it up again, the leakage problem went away. That one's a headscratcher for me.

Moral of the story: Once you get to that lowest fill line, either add more juice or clean the carto out. YMMV

That's been my experience anyway. Are they perfect? No, there are issues that I hope SI will iron out eventually, but for me, it's still way better than messing with regular cartos. They last way longer than cartos for me and the taste is just cleaner. I think I'll clean them after every other fill. The brushes tend to get nasty looking after a couple of fills.

Oh, I use 100% VG liquids in mine that I mix myself. Not the thick stuff, but it is thicker than PG based stuff.

I've had mine for a week now. The only juice I've gotten in my mouth is from condensation in the tip. The surface area inside is pretty large, so when the drop finally forms...it can be big. I wipe out the tip with a tightly rolled paper towel every time I refill, and since I haven't got a drop in my mouth. I've got 4 of the 5 I bought going right now, one of SI ry4, one of BWB ry4, one with Mom&Pop's famous 5 layer and one with Mom&Pop's butterfly bait. I retired the first one I was using for the SI ry4 after around 20ml or so. It started having some wicking issues like threadkiller above, burnt taste if I hit on it too often. I did have one leak while it was off a battery. It was my fault, as I didn't screw the top down all the way.

I dissected the one I retired to try to bring it back to life. The procedure is exactly the same as in the stardust re-wicking thread. I didn't rewick, but I did clean the coil/wick by burning off the coil gunk until it was totally clean. After reassembly it just wouldn't taste right again. I'm pretty sure it's my cleaning method, as I have had little luck bringing atty's back to life over the years. I tried it out on my 78mm manual after checking the ohms (which hadn't changed.) The flavor was nasty, and I never got it to taste better. Some diy wicking and coil materials seem to be in my future, but 20ml before retiring seems pretty good value for a chain vaper like me. I may have gotten even more if I had done any cleaning at all, say a rinse every 5ml or so.

I've noticed some of them have a primer taste when they're new. I'm pretty sure there's no primer on the wick, but opening a new one I usually see some fluid on the mouthpiece. I'm pretty sure it's some kind of lube for the O-ring on the mouthpice. If I had to guess it's probably straight pg, which tastes pretty nasty to me. Some of them have quite a bit, and it's possible it drips down onto the wick during assembly.

I'll definitely be purchasing more. Big thumbs up.
