That's fantastic news Fuzzione! It's amazing how it can be incredibly easy for some of us to completely quit smoking overnight with these - by accident! That's exactly what happened to me over two and a half years ago. I hadn't wanted to quit and had only tried PV's out of pure curiosity. Congratulations!! :)

My wife and I just ordered 4 of these. I was pretty excited to try them as soon as I learned about them. When they came in I grabbed my X2 1300 and filled the clearomizer just under the top line and man what a difference. We have been using them for almost a week now and I gotta tell ya I think the cartos we have are just going to be for trying out new juice or backups from now on. These clearomizers are awesome. U get a way better vape from these, less time filling up, also u get the true juice flavor u cant get in a carto. I've filled up 3 times so far with no issues. I know some people have had problems with leaking but we haven't had that issue. we just make sure to fill it up right under the top line and were good to go. One of the best things I love about them is when its getting empty u can see that its almost out, unlike cartos where u keep vaping until it becomes hot, loss of flavor or vape and worse the burning taste. I also like how they fit our regular 78mm batteries, although it looks a little goofy, I can charge my x2 and not be forced to use a carto. All in all no issues at all so far and they have exceeded my expectations, Excellent work SI! Oh in case your wondering im vaping 50/50 12mg nic juice in these and its great!

I have a question for the clearomizer users: Does soaking them in vodka, like someone mentioned before, help prolong the life of the wicking material?

I'm asking because I've been refilling one clearo with the same juice, and was wondering if I should just keep at it, or if I should periodically clean them even if I'm not changing flavors.

Any feedback will be appreciated.

After two cracked clearomizers that ended up leaking, I figured out the problem was my juice. Looked at the list that's been posted and ripe banana flavoring is on there. My favorite vape is Strawnana from EliteVaperWorks. Must be the banana in it that was giving me the problems I had. Looks like my next order will be some cartos, as I've already ordered replacement clearomizers! ;)

My two clearos arrived 1 1/2 weeks ago and have been in constant use since then. I have them on my two x2 batts and when one of those batts is charging I switch the clearo to a slim batt. Because I like to vape a variety of flavors I also use a couple of slim batts with cartos along with them.

I'm curious to see how long these clearos will last, but I want to get more of them before these two have to be discarded. They have been performing beautifully. The flavors are great with them. I'm not sure if they actually make the flavor better or if it's that you get more of the flavor because there's no filler.

I will still use SI cartos too, especially for those sweet flavors that I just like occasionally. But, wow, these clearos are great for my favorite tobaccos!

thanks for the update that is so odd that a flavor would cause cracking...

36 hours without an analog...and counting. The thing I find almost unbelievable is that I really did not set out to quit analogs at first, simply to reduce the nasty habit. Yet I really don't feel the urge to consume analogs (that much) since I've taken to vaping. So I'm just going with it and see how far this takes me.

Amazing, isn't it? I didn't expect I'd quit as fast as I did - immediately! I thought I'd have to wean myself off the tobacco cigarettes, but that wasn't the case and I'm very pleased with my Volt batteries. Actually, I'm obsessed with them, now, but I cannot complain at all.

Welcome to Voltville, fuzzione!

Think I figured out why my clearo fell apart. The flavor I had in there had Cherry Blossom from The Flavor Apprentice (it was mixed with other flavors).
From that thread about cracked clearos, I noticed that Triacetin was an ingredient known to cause cracks.

Looking on the Flavor Apprentice site, sure enough, Cherry Blossom contains Triacetin. Not all their flavors do, but that particular flavor does.

The nice thing about Flavor Apprentice (other than the low prices) is that they list their ingredients.

Anybody else out there who has cracked one of these clearomizers? If so, could you tell me what flavor you used and who the vendor was? I'd like to look around and see if I can find out the actual culprit.

Tina, I looked up your Strawnana, but the vendor doesn't seem to list ingredients, so I couldn't tell what the problem might be.

So these things are made out of polycarbonate? It would be nice to find another plastic that doesn't react with the liquids. That would REALLY separate SI from everybody else, as this seems to be a common problem with these things...

...or we could all find Star and Tina a banana with no Triacetin...

Haven't looked into this much yet, but it seems that one company in particular has a clearo that cracks under with these chemicals and another clearo that doesn't. Haven't verified that yet.

Biggest issue seems to be vendors actually telling us what chemicals are in their flavors. Been looking at a few sites, but The Flavor Apprentice seems to be best at this. If a flavor has Triacetin in it, it's listed as an ingredient.

I'm also finding that some flavors crack cartos and don't have triacetin in them. I'm looking into other common denominators. I'm thinking that acetyl Propionyl might be another culprit.

This post is for those of you who DIY with The Flavor Apprentice (TFA) flavors.

They have a category of flavors labeled "Flavors - Non PG". These flavors use triacetin instead of Propylene Glycol.
Triacetin seems to be hazardous to the plastic in our clearomizers.

This is a list of flavors that contain triacetin. There are other flavors that may break clearomizers, that do not contain triacetin, but I don't know why yet. I'll post that if I figure it out.

Here's the list of TFA flavors from that category that I would not recommend be put into SI's clearomizers:
Absinthe
Blueberry Candy
Cherry Blossom (personal experience with this one)
Chrysanthemum
Clove (Tri)
Cola (Tri)
Honeysuckle
Menthol Crystals
Pecan
Pumpkin Spice (Original)
Root Beer

EDIT to list more flavors containing triacetin.

Apple Pie
Caramel
Black Sesame Seed
Dill Pickle
Holiday Spice
Kettlecorn
Passion Fruit
Peach (Juicy)
Pizza
Smooth
Whipped Cream
