Sure am. School is finished so I don't have to get up any particular time in the morning. 1am is a good time in the shed. I often do my best work in the wee hours...

My gal pal has made that same comment (but then when we hook up it is usually after she gets off work in the wee hours). :)

A few pics of the laminated 26 ready for finish, and action shots.

Top cap on the lathe, careful work turning 90% air at 3000 rpm.

Two red gum 26s. Mine is very much the inspiration for this one, with Doffy's 26 added into the mix.

Lots of fairly precise work in this, and not too rough for a first go at a more complex design. Certainly the trickiest and most time consuming build yet. 6 months ago I would never have believed I could make mods like this, so I'm headed in the right direction!

Results on a little experimentation with my all time best set up to date!

My 26 now has a hybrid setup with the aeronaut clone. The feed tube is threaded all the way and runs from the bottle all the way up to just under the air tube in the rda chamber, with the pos block drilled and tapped to take the feed tube. This makes the 510 body nothing more than a way to mount the atty, and is perfectly sealed.

The aeronaut design is flawless, although the clone version is a slightly butchered (from the original) version with a few small changes. Free squonking with great juice capacity, and is leak free no matter how you hold it. A truly revolutionary design. To get good flavor I have had to mount duals in a way that increases air velocity over the coils by squeezing the air around the coils... lots of volume of air, but the velocity is too slow for the big singles that I usually use. Running flawlessly at .2ohms.

Nothing important here but just had to post it because it is so good, and has possibly made my other RDAs obsolete.

Coils have had a lot of juice through them so about ready for a clean. Each coil is 6 strands of 30g twisted into a braid and flattened with 2mm ID. Running at 70w.

The matching drip tips are perfect and really set the mod off. If any one is debating if the need or want the drip tip get it. There was no way I could find a tip to match if I had to find a replacement.

It has a derlin inside so it doesn't heat up at all
