Jazz's body coming together, for caps to be put together tomorrow. All laminating is now complete except the button and dt. Turns out that after a process of cutting, sanding, and gluing repeatedly, there is now 130 pieces of wood in the body, and will be around 160 in the complete mod.
Timbers used are quilted red gum for the main body, mahogany in the bands, and matai as the small contrasting blocks, and mahogany and matai again for a 3 layer laminated band in each cap. Top and bottom of the caps are red gum and will be carved to shape.
