They are here!!!!!! Well few things first to note.

Firstly the pictures although good on Vaughan's site do not do these works of art justice, I mean they are truly stunning! Wanted to add here these mods are super tiny!

Secondly the build or I should rephrase that to the workings behind this mod are so simple yet so brilliant! The magnets are the strongest magnets I've ever come across so everything is held together well, these babies when put together stay together yet are easy to dismantle when needed without tools, that's just great!

Thirdly the use of magnets supplied in all different heights (around 6 or 7) allow the easy use of any 18650 battery. A quick change and I was set up to suit the button throw on my Samsung 25R's.

Next with attys loaded they sit perfectly flush, both fired first time with no adjustment needed and pop the crackle sounds from the atty music to my ears.

Lastly the vape and whilst the aesthetics are super important these babies hit hard! 0.4ohm build on a twin coil in each im one happy bunny!

When I get time to get some decent pictures I'll post more later but can't leave without a teaser for now [emoji116]

Wow, awesome feedback, thanks robbieblood. Looks like you got that cracklin'!

This may be a good time for a heads up too all, I can see that the button is not straight up and down, indicating that the switch leaf has been bent down, this can happen if the switch is pressed without a battery inside to stop the switch travel. The mods are all set up with the samsumg INR 20r at around .75mm travel and stay there if the switch is not over flexed.

The spare magnets can be used to lower the battery, allowing for button top or longer batteries to be used with out changing anything else. Around .75-1mm travel seems to be best to avoid any chance of switch issue. If the switch leaf is pushed down it is a 2 minute operation to remove the switch leaf, gently tweek it back to straight(or very slightly past) and reinstall. It should ideally be in contact with the underside of the top cap when resting.

Another small issue is that the tiny orings (2) in the spring loaded fat daddy 510 can pop loose inside the 510 if the atomizer 510 is very long, not something that I can remedy but well worth being aware of as some of china's clones aren't built quite as accurately as they could be. If this does happen it is a simple matter of unscrewing the 510 centre pin assembly and reinstalling the oring. I have had this happen twice with 1 out of 5 BF modded clones.

Upgrade- All mods from now have a slightly different switch leaf that does not need the brass washer under the 510 nut, allowing a longer flexing portion of the switch leaf and one less part.

I sorted the button before seeing this post, it didn't look bent from the underside but the button had slightly dropped, didn't have to disconnect it all just put a driver under the left at the half way point and pushed the leaf at the button end, this took 2 seconds and job was sorted. These mods are super simple to work on if needed, you can see that [emoji6]

I'm getting a Derringer BF from chowderhead at Catfish. The plain lines should go well, I think ... and it is all about the aesthetics!

I forgot that in my order I had asked if you had recommendations for atties ... getting a bit over-excited here :D

While I'm waiting for the Derringer, I might be able to practise squonking using a ByLeo eBaron Pro that I have here? Or I may just lay the mod on a velvet cushion and admire it's beauty :hubba:

I'm an 18350/18500 mech metal tube person usually ... is there a particular battery I should be getting? or will any flat top 18650 fit without problems?
Gone today after another coat of lacquer, inside lacquered, and new switch built. The compression grain in the side is beautiful!

Unfortunately, the Derringer will take a little longer, but I'll improvise.

I have been in to see a silversmith and got him to roll a piece of sterling silver to full hard in the dimensions of my switch, and the results were very promising. Much more resilient than the copper I have been using, very springy in comparison with maybe 3 times the deflection before bending. Looks like a great option! looking into prices now for a good quantity.

I have done an experiment with a silversmith today with full hard sterling silver in the same dimensions as my switches, To my delight it flexes 3 times as much as the copper before bending, and I can get in in nz! there is also a non-tarnish silver available (hopefully in the right hardness) and I will have an idea on prices for this tomorrow. For the sake of 2 days wait I will not be sending out more mods without the upgrade, as I would like them all to be as bulletproof as possible, and will be sending out silver switches to the others that have purchased also.

Oh my! Customer service like that makes me even more glad I purchased one of these.

If I'm very, very lucky mine will arrive tomorrow, but I think Monday is more likely. The tracking site is getting a hammering :)

This is what I have been waiting for! Flex test between copper and non-tarnish sterling silver, both 0.7mm thick. Both were flexed 19mm over 47mm length, with exactly the result I have been hoping for, copper bent badly, silver did not bend at all, so from now all switch leaves will be made in the non-tarnish silver, and silver switches will be sent out to previous buyers at no cost to them.
The switch has certainly been the weak point in my design, and the silver addresses the issue very well, and will result in minimal maintenance due to the low reactivity in comparison to the copper, and the obvious strength advantage!
