Have you checked the voltage you have the mod set at? I no when I am out if I let my mod get cold its hard to feed the atomizer juice .Problems with cold. 4 atties blown in 2 weeks when firing it in 40 degree or so weather. Something must be spiking, these are new, good, atties, amg hybrid and Cisco. I've run these makes on other pv, with excellent longevity. My other pv, same regulator, has no problems at these temps. Confident it isn't user error, I keep them wet and don't run them too hot.
I have checked the atties, they were 2.5 ohm when opened, but open circuit after. Latest was only run 2 days. Not popping during a puff, something is zapping then immediately on button press.
Pm sent _______I'm set at 5.1, metered, well within reason for measured 2.5 ohm atties and cartos.
I'm very consistent in doing a pre-fire slight inhale before pushing the button. If I have no liquid I feed. My liquid is pretty thin, no feed issue in the cold, and I do the check.
I've been using atties most of this year, on top and bottom feeders, both vv and fixed, no problems with longevity on other devices. I've been using mods with this regulator since bp first came out.
No physical abuse (drops, etc.). Environment has been clean, dry, the cold is the only variable compared to my use of the pv in other places, including all day every day at work. I vape a consistent 6 ml/day.
Alice, mine with the original button started that way and then I had to sort of push it to the side to get it to fire...then one day, no firing. Seems all those w/ the recessed button eventually have to switch that button out for the larger one. I will say that I really do like it better this way. If you have a mini woodvil, it's the same button, just not stripped down to the copper, so take a look at that button to get an idea of what you'll have after the surgery.
Thanks. I got to handle Jack's.I still like the recessed better. I rarely use thumb on button so that may make a difference. Besides I'm aiming to hold record for longest working recessed button.
Hugs, Feisty Alice
ha ha mines still working also (knock on woodvile)
