Yes the chip has over discharge protection . My
batteries should be do to swap out soon I will take a reading when they quit. Mike may swing in and shed more light on the subject.I believe the cut off is 2.75 . I am not skilled in the field off vv electronics this is why I am using a chip from notcigs. I had to no it would be safe for my customers
I'm switching the position of my batteries about every hour of use, in Buzz Pro. First of all that is the best possible way to keep them as balanced as possible, for the longest, long term, life of battery. When I take them out they are both about the same voltage. I did measure them, when I was sick, but I don't remember what the voltage was. I measured when it just stopped firing and, also, several times right before the cut off point. Several times I've caught them probably right before cutoff which is when, I believe, the chip is going to cut them off in next hit or two. I did experience what appeared to be a lowered voltage, for one hit, but it hadn't cut off yet. I immediately took them out and put in fresh batteries. At least I think that's what I remember, in my weeks of diminished mental capacity when I had the flu and then bad cold.
I'll take more notice, now, and measure and write it down. I haven't used it in several days because the
tank is empty and I didn't want to bother refilling the
tank. (REOs are just so damn easy.... they make one a lazy vaper) I may have written it down before, but "the dogs probably ate the notes." (Jen)
I know it is not supposed to do that and it should just suddenly stop but I do think I have gotten a very subtle hint that the chip is going to cut off. In the BP I'm using AW 16340 3 volt LiFEPO4, and the 3.7 Powerizers, unprotected, that NotCigs/Mike recommends as being safe because of their/his chip, and, also, a set of AW IMR 16340s 3.7 volt. The chip regulates so that you can't tell if you are using 3v or 3.7v. It is hard to measure use time as I've been so ill AND I'm using several PVs at one time, REOs, BP, and SuperMini GLV, but mostly the REOs.
It seems to me that I have read that there is a set cut off voltage.
