Okay, I had a whole crazy long post that was all.. blah blah blah...and when I went to preview it I was murdered by a wall of text... so I will give you the reader digest version..not much point to another personal experience thread, but its cathartic, so deal.
I purchased PS's Puresmoker Ace, Protege, and V2 recently. I spammed the forums and annoyed all of you as I eagerly awaited it's arrival.
Since it came late in the afternoon, and I was entertaining friends from out of town, I decided to give the Ace and the Protege a field test on the strip.
First we went to a pretentious Martini Bar. Drinks were expensive... I was self conscious... but after a few libations I was comfortable vaping freely on the Ace. It was fun, but definately was no alternative to smoking for me.
I was smoking 18mg Kamel Atomz, and although I was surprised at how much I liked the flavor, I never felt quite satisfied, maybe a higher nic content would have helped. I was suprised at how much flavor and vapor there was, but it still didn't quite deliver for me. As a social smoker, my wife was quite taken with them, and informed me that I would NOT be giving them to anyone at work.
Next stop was a 90's rock club in the Venetian. It was dark and loud, and a perfect place for me to break out the Protege. This delivered much much more than the Ace, and was way fun to smoke. I was impressed with the amount of vapor, and was thrilled that I could blow smoke rings
Much more satisfying than the Ace, but was still wanting a bit more nicotene content (I was using Marboro at 11mg<---I loved this flavor btw.)
Later on we went into the Casino and found a nice little lounge act, and I was able to sit there, drip and vape all night long with out much of a glance at all.
Security, staff didn't seem to care one way or the other, which surprised me.
The Protege is just a little guy, but for his size he packs a punch.
Now that I'm home... I have the batteries FULLY charged to my V2 and have given it a go. As far as the V2 goes, I only have one thing to say:
YouTube - I LiKE iT!
This 5v thing rocks the box! Not sure what the fate of little Protege is (PT adapter, I'm sure) but Mr. Prodigy is a chocolate covered flaming ninja pirate!
I will be needing waaaaaay more juice, that much is certain! This thing hits like my hookah and has at least as much flavor without shredding my lungs. I am so so so so so happy to be able to enjoy smoking again in a healthier more satisfying way.
Thanks PS crew and everyone at the E-Cig forums for putting up with my whining, reduntant questions and persistence. I am a happy camper...something I don't admit to very often.
And any newbies like me, if you are on the fence... get yourself a V2. It doesnt look like a cig, it doesn't smoke like a cig because it isn't a cig. There is a learning curve and an adjustment, but eventually I think you will like it way better.
And don't be afraid to ask questions of anyone here. I wasn't and I'm glad I did.
